Cooking made easy with detailed videos and helpful comments. Having previously lived in Dubai and Madrid, I am now back in the UK, in Yorkshire. My website , keefcooks.com features all of my RU-vid video recipes with full details of ingredients, methods, etc: and you can print the recipes too.
I'm interested in reviewing cooking or video-making products/equipment. Right now I'd be especially interested in good quality wireless lavalier mic systems, and a good drone would please me no end!
It's the time of season to stuff everything; tomatoes with tuna, peppers with chicken or beef mix, zucchini with veggie mix. No end to the choices . We have lots of extra veg to stuff at this point in the season. Make salsa's, bbq sauces. Salads. Best time of year for anything. One tip to make the stuffed bell peppers taste better is to blanch them before stuffing, really soften them up ahead of the oven.
Ay up Keef! This butter chicken looks spot on, mate! Love me a good curry from time to time for me tea, especially when it's as creamy and mild as this one. That gravy with tomatoes, cream, and butter sounds like a belter. Proper comfort food, this!
Those look delicious! Thank you for giving Basil a guest role in this recipe. I'll definitely make this in September when my daughter has gone uni so won't object to cooked peppers. Any tips for a Marmite substitute in this? We don't keep it around.
My mum (who was Maltese) used to make similar stuffed peppers using breadcrumbs instead of rice. It was her way of using up stale bread. It was one of my favourites as a kid in the 70s. Back then, as you'll remember, bell peppers were quite expensive and regarded as exotic but the stuffing being made from leftovers made it economical too. Thanks for the memory!
Ey up m'lad our lad our goer Keef. Tha stuffed peppers look proper grand! Minced beef an' rice combo is a right good shout, and that melted cheese on top? Pure genius. Reckon I'll be givin' this a go fer tea tomorrow. Cheers for sharin', lad! Keep 'em comin'!
I love these. Similarly with Corgette and Marrow. But I have always considered them too fiddly but you have made it look less so. I think the ones I have eaten mostly was probably with Lamb, cos it was in Middle East places and cardamom would have been infused in them I think. But they are as nice as eating Strawberries. Need a sharp serrated knife so the Pepper holds its shape when you cut in.
Love stuffed peppers and cabbage too. I use a mix of canned diced tomatoes and a can of tomato soup as a cooking sauce to steam them in. Cheese and onions pasties tonight.😘
The curls are tasteless and not worthy of the product. 525 mls delivers you a rather odd style 'soup'. I recently bought three boxes, not having seen any for yonks. I need to warn your viewers. This is now a seriously sub-standard product and I will no longer seek it out. Ah well ... nothing lasts for ever.
Sorry Keef but dyed yellow fish won’t do it smoked haddock is a nice second but you really need a finnan haddie to make proper Cullen skink. Greetings fae Aberdeen
Ey up Keef, I were a bit wary 'bout this minced beef and cheese pie combo, seemed right odd to me. But I'll tell thee what, it works a treat! Can't believe these aren't more common 'round here. They're a big hit down in Oz and NZ, and I reckon they'll be just as popular up north.
Mushroom ketchup is the water that you drain out, not the pulp. It was supposed to be an imitation of the Chinese fish sauce. The pult is generally dried and powderized into a seasoning of sorts.
Keef wanted to say thanks for this video. I was born in Carlisle and trained as a traditional Family Butcher by my mentor Jos Hodgson from Yorkshire. I now live in Florida and have for 30 years. You cant get decent British food here so I make all my own sausages, cure my own bacon, make my own brawn and white pudding etc. This recipe "nailed" what Cumberland sausage should be for me its perfect and my American wife loves it too. I am really grateful for your channel you have been an amazing resource for me along with Scott Rea. Thank you.
I remember eating that at my grandmother's house and enjoying it she made a lot of Scottish dishes for us she made a fruit cake but we never got the recipe for and it died with her and I cannot have anybody else's fruit cake but my grandmother's shame on me
Ey up, Keef! Proper job on them chicken nuggets, mate. Me little lass can't get enough of nuggets. They look miles better than them dodgy ones from supermarket. Nice and crispy, just how we like 'em. And that honey-mustard dip? Bang on! It's a reyt treat. Cheers for this, mate. You’ve made meal times a right doddle!
Mmmm, one of my favourites! I love to make that. I'll also add some cooked pasta sometimes and take it to work for an easy lunch. BTW, that basil looks amazing! I hope to see you use some in an upcoming video.
