Shirokuro if you mean Xenoblade Rex then he is mentioned as both a costume and spirit, tho with the next character possibly being one of the arms characters already in game it might still mean he’s got a shot

MysticNinja speaking of salsa, that's not the ”official” name for salsa, but it's what the fan translation called him. So yes, Nintendo has acknowledged the fan translation in recent times.

@@celeeste9881 The Masked Man, however, isn't anything like his Japanese counterpart which translates more closely to "Masked Boy" (This was likely changed in the fan translation to keep his identity more of a secret). Despite this, Smash Ultimate calls them the Masked Man. Same with Claus, it was originally Klaus in Brawl, but apparently the localization team changed it to Claus specifically because of the fan translation. Very interesting indeed.

I feel like the ARMS announcement was more like a preview, meaning that we will eventually get an animated reveal trailer.

Idk because hes not one of the most.......wanted characters? and I feel like this is what fighter pass 2 is going to be because I didnt see too many people wanting an arms character and if this pass is some of the least wanted characters than porky could fit in.

VelocityYT on the other hand, just about ABSOLUTELY NOBODY wanted another Fire Emblem character in Smash either, but Byleth got in. Fire Emblem Sword Fighter number nine. Look how many other, better, more beloved characters could have gotten into smash.

@lego yoda they took over smash 4 and they are all clones of each other with some exceptions, pokemon has unique pokemon with different abilities. Mario has a few clones but they are limited so they have original characters with some clones here and there but not too much, but fire emblem nobody wants they are just sword characters and most of them are clones like why add lucina if she is a clone of marth and why add blyth if that's a clone of Roy it's almost like they used Roy's B attack for chroms main B and the up B is just taken from Ike oh and almost nobody wants a fire emblem character because they took over smash 4 and wasted so many character slots at once. But mario and pokemon done it right slowly releasing characters bit by bit and some of then are wanted in there cough cough *waluigi* pokemon same thing most people dont want it but at least they are unique and dont reuse moves fire emblem is the thing I just said or in short terms everyone's a clone and nobody wants them

@ige i think waluigi would be out of place in smash ultimate since he is already an assist trophy, but even if porky does get in smash as an assist trophy i would still be sorta happy, but getting a mii costume is just like getting thrown in the dumpster

Honestly, me too, just for the fact that I got a character I actually wanted. Though most of the DLCs are fun fighters, Porky would have so much potential, for moves and character, and would fit so well

If I recall, they got backlash from Brawl for spoiling so much of Mother 3's final chapter. Since then Smash 4 had the statue as a trophy and nothing else, I guess they didn't feel like having a spirit either. (Although it could have been an Earthbound-only spirit)

@@fernandobanda5734 True but those smash entries have been out for awhile now ( including MOTHER 3 itself ) which they still haven't even localized till this day. It wouldn't be much of a spoil especially since they kept New Pork City in ultimate.

I feel Kazuya has ironically increased his chances. Because Kazuya got in, the Smash dlc pattern is continued; oddball 1st party(plant and minmin), square enix(hero and Sephiroth), Microsoft(banjo and Steve), popular JRPG for both audiences(Joker and Pyra), and now fighting game rep(Terry and Kazuya). Byleth is a popular eastern JRPG 1st party, a characteristic Porky has too. Byleth also was a promotional character; Porky could promote a possible mother 3 localization. Finally, by 3rd parties like Master Chief and Crash practically being deconfirmed, Porky has less to go up against. I can’t help but think he’s getting in.
