These are some captures of some Paintless Dent Repair processes during a portion of a black Porsche 911 (993) restoration.
(BMPCC4K, Meike 12mm, Contax 28mm &50mm -no speed booster)
There were over 10 dents repaired plus reworking some previous PDR that wasn't finished.
The major areas repaired was the right quarter panel and left fender in this video.
The right quarter panel had a box that fell on it so the damage was large area but slight. Some pulling techniques and alot of tapping with various hammers was used to reshape the waves.
The left fender had a previous PDR repair but it wasn't finished as far as the owner may have liked it. It was a 5-6" area and needed alot of detail work to make the shape right and to adjust all the bumps from and divots from the last repair.
With PDR metal panels can get re-straightened and texture reworked so restoration can be completed with paint correction and new ceramic coatings. This is a newer way for really light restoration and can save the original paint. Alot of this 911 example was original still. Amazing.
It was so fun repairing this vehicle, I have worked on so many that I can't help love the 911 iconic shape and style.
Thanks for watching and reading.

You can really tap that hard on the hips without creating MORE ripples or cracking the paint? Amazing. Maybe I should stop by the shop. Thanks

Yes for sure, we do this every day. Although, someone not trained and proficient in this style of repair will make ripples and paint damage. Thanks for the comment and checking out my video!

First time using DaVinci resolve or any desktop video edit software. Let me know what you think of this set-up BMPCC4K, Mieke wide, Contax 28 and 50 at 2x crop. Nevermind the cellphone footage 👎
