As an owner of a 997.2 gt3 I can say it’s the best car I’ve ever driven and it’s not close. Starting the engine is the best part of the day no matter how good your day is. Tough to explain in words until you drive one. Heaven really is a seat behind the wheel of one of these

As an owner of a 997 gt3, there is some conflicting advice... The gt3 of all years have the issue of the coolant pipes bursting on track. The adhesive comes undone and spills it on to the rear tires. You can weld the pipes or screw them or you can keep it as is and run water wetter and water for some insurance for when they do burst, it won't be as slippery or toxic on the track Secondly the pccb ceramic brake option, while it's a novel idea, it's not for those who track regularly (15+ track days a year) the rotors cost $3k+ per rotor and will need replacements. For lesser, not pro fast drivers, the pccb rotors should last the lifetime. Unless of course money is no object :) And yes, driving the gt3 feels like a ceremonious event every time. Best car purchase ever. Currently looking to add a 996 gt3 to the stable for it's even rawer driving dynamics !

These are already becoming classics. If you couldn't afford one new you can't afford one now. They're pretty much the same price now even with miles on them. Too bad for me I suppose =(

Funny how no one mentions the crap front axle lift that systematically fails because of bad engineering and cost a kidney to repair and fails again. The Carbon breaks are stupidly expensive and the center locks a massive pain. I love the car and am looking to buy one but these videos only show the good stuff
