In recent years classic Porsche vlaues have hugely increased leaving them highly collectable items! The 912 was offered as an entry level porsche over the 911. More on this to come...
Naturally we had to have a go in one and as if by chance we found one very close to home. As we mentioned in the video we have loads more planned with this car and we cant wait to share it with you. Only one year for the American market on 1976, filling in the gap between the 914 and the 924. 2099 were built, with just 500 sunroof cars, making the 912E one of the most collectible four-cylinder Porsche's . I have one of the sunroof cars, silver with black interior. They handle better than the 76 911 due to the lighter weight of the 4cylinder engine.

Want the original RADIO off of my 1976 912E? Replaced with something else in 1978 and it's been sitting in my toolchest ever since. Let me know. e

Great Porsche, a 912E is not a poor man's Porsche though. The car also handles better and it's more balanced. please tuck your dog tags in as well. when you wear them out you look foolish.

Nick Medina Wasn't the 912 produced as an entry level Porsche to the more superior 911? I do not question that it may be a better handling and more balanced car but it is certainly cheaper than the 911! As for the dog tags, Don't hate the playa, hate the game! 🤙🏻

I don't think the 912 was considered infereior by any means or as you put it "starter" . the 912 was for the people who wanted something similar to the 356 and they still carried the same engine as the 356. The 912E from 76 was a limited car only in the US. Made as a bridge between the 914 and until the 924. was seen as a more economic Porsche and was pretty much a 911S with a type 4 engine. I guess if that's entry level or not I don't know but doesn't seem like it and the value has climbed alot so even if it was supposedly an entry level Porsche I wouldn't consider it one now that's for sure. most 912s cost just as much as 911s. btw I'm prior service and when we see clowns who have usually never served wearing they're dog tags out we just see them as wannabes or a brand new basic training pvt.

Nick Medina Interesting point. How would you describe the Boxster or the Cayman? As a sports car, the 911 would still be superior to these! While values of the 912 may have jumped up an incredible amount over the years, the 911 prices are through the roof! If you want to buy into the 70's era of Porsche ownership in the U.K. Buying a 912 is the way! 🤙🏻 R.e Dog tags- I wasn't going to say anything but... He forgets his name sometimes and he just needs a quick prompt! It just saves time with the tags being untucked. He says it's fashion but I know the truth. 😎
