Great video, Ian. It's the first time I've seen how the F/A box gets reinstalled. Good to know those tips, as I'll need to eventually do this on my car too.

Wish I’d seen this on Friday. I just put a replacement with unbroken drain spigots in Rosie on Saturday, all by myself without completely removing the tank, and with tendinitis in one elbow. I still need to know how to adjust the cables. I obviously have to do it over once I get the rebuild kit. Thank for the vids.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to put the 2 air valve boxes in first with the x cables?????then the control panel and connect the 2 control cables, adjust and see it working properly and THEN the air box then its 1 cable?????I would recommend brightening up the 2 motor connector wires and lubing the top bearing and test running before putting the top back on. I have had those that run slow and they dont do squat if not at full speed. and I think he skipped the flapper seal replacement lol! Really like your vids!, Im doing everything you have shown! and it all helped me in some way, really. (by the way...I think you could have seriously helped them with "whatever" they were trying to do to the dash behind you LOL!)

Really glad I found your channel now as I am looking to get a 914 in the near future. If you are still in the hobby and have the time for making these videos, could you make one on a brief diagnosis of the car and recommended first things to replace?

Thanks for the Video, I took mine out for cleaning/rewiring recently. Before I put it back in, are there parts of this that make a ton of sound if you don't treat them a certain way?

I got my air box installed with your rubber band technique. Is it possible to replace the cable underneath the air box not that it is installed? Mine is binding and hate to have to pull it out again. I could not find a link to your cable installation video

Hey Ian, do you happen to know what size screws hold the air box in (on the sides)? Mine seem to be missing =)
