@@Flat6Rebel Where is a good spot to pickup this exhaust setup? Im definitely interested in picking this up for mine.

@@IanClos3 the exhaust can be picked up locally or online like eBay or rennlist, but the piping and mounts would have to be custom fabricated and fitted

Thanks. Had to remove the bumper to remove the bumperette brackets and based the cut off of the peak of the original exhaust cutouts in the bumper

Went the bottom route for the open valved opening and ended up using the top ports for the downstream O2 sensors

Ryan fabricated a custom bracket similar to the 997 one

No they don’t, didn’t want to push the exhaust low

Ok, so the top smaller holes are blocked and the headers connect to the lower holes?

Yeah there’s a bit of drone when cruising but I’ve found out that cruising at 1800 or 3200 it significantly more quiet.

@@Flat6Rebel do you have any photos of the process? I’m using 997 headers and just cut off the ends. Then welding on some small cats in between. I’m trying to figure out mounting the gt3 exhaust. I have the gt3 bracket but did you the factory 996 bracket?

@@417Realtor it’s you’re using 997 headers. You could also use the 997 GT3 headers/cats/bypass/muffler setup. An idea. Reach out to @ryfabllc on IG. He’s the mad scientist 👨‍🔬

I think it was a combo of eliminating the old cats plus a mental thing with that baby gt3 pitch 🤣 but I would say yes. Once the car gets dialed in, I’d like to get a dyno pull to see where the car is 23 years later

Yes it’s off of a 997 GT3

The Techart setup had the stock catalytics but was using a bypass on the muffler piping. With the GT3 exhaust setup there’s no catalytics from headers to exhaust box

@@Flat6Rebel confused; what do you mean bypass on the muffler piping? so the techart setup was the techart mufflers and the stock cats right? did you modify the techart mufflers ?

@@silverP911 exactly. The bypass is similar to a Gundo hack where you add a pipe connecting entry and exit pipes to the muffler

very cool bro - i have to admit the techart with a bypass as you describe does sound really good! almost as good as the GT3 muffler but the GT3 muffler setup (wo cat) has that little extra sharpness that makes it sound more exotic! tell me this - what size of piping did you use on the for the gundo hack on the techart muffler?

I want to say my fabricator used 2in. There’s no much room, you’re talking about a 2in by 3in pipe fitted and welded between
