This series of videos will be dedicated to exploring the capabilities of the Cayman S on track along with understanding specifically what is needed to make it a safe and reliable performer. The plan
is to keep the Cayman as close to stock as possible and just introduce some minor bits in order to keep the ride as close to stock as possible. We will be introducing iterative changes as we progress between the various videos. Stay tuned to learn what we learn as we go along this path.
A bit of my history… I regularly participate in HPDE events. I do not do any ‘wheel to wheel’ racing or run time trials with any organizations. I’m purely a hobbyist/enthusiast who enjoys running HPDE events. I do run in advanced level groups but probably middle of the pack skills wise.
Part 1: first time on track
This is my first time ever taking the Cayman on track. We are running with Apex Driving Academy at MSR Cresson on the 1.7 mile track running clock-wise. I had to make some tweaks to the car during the event that our outlined throughout the video.
