Normally can't pick Richmonds best but I thought nankervis was outstanding all night.

Not a Tigers fan but this was an epic performance against all odds, Port had 2 week rest, home ground advantage, full list. Tigers just looked a more polished side, looked like scoring everytime they went inside 50 who looked scrappy in their forward 50 with just 12 scoring shots from 58 inside 50’s. Last quarter they completely played into Richmonds hands with panicked bombs and Balta intercepting a lot of them.

i genuinely thought the umpiring was ok, maybe a little over-umpired but it seemed pretty fair for both sides, and im a port fan, idk what game yous were watching

tigers were the clear underdogs, port had a home court advantage, every single afl fan wanted to see Richmond lose. and even the year in general if tigers win it will be historic, no home games, injuries and off field issues. if they win the granny its hard to go past that being the hardest gf win

Toby Nankervis had a brilliant game..he does remind me of Brendan Gale when Brenny was Rucking!!

I barrack for Collingwood,and I have to admit Dustin Martin's the best player I have ever seen he is a freak! The best finals player of all time!

Proud to be a tiger supporter because we beat a superb Port Adelaide team. Port are the real deal and football can be unfairly cruel sometimes.

People saying that Dixon was held he was pushed under the ball, that’s legal he wasn’t pushed in the back or held. it’s called knowing the actual rules of the game you can even tell by all the port players when Nankervis marked the ball not one port player complained about because they knew it was a mark fair and square .

It was tough watching this game, as I like both of these clubs. Port Adelaide did well this year to finish at the top of the ladder and make it to the Preliminary Final. Richmond have made it to another Grand Final and are on the verge of possibly winning another AFL Premiership

They booed us on and off the field, but with heads held up high, ( we managed to win against all odds ). They tried to get under Tom Lynch's skin again with their tornts and Jeers ( but he kicked a winning goal and took the final mark to stop them ). They spilled drink over Tom Lynch as he spoke to the commentators, ( but it was the same player who consoled a crying little boy distraught after the game ). Their favourite son in Brad Ebert came off the ground with concussion, ( but it was Marllion Pickett who went to consul and congratulate him ! ) As the tears ran down the eyes of the Port Adelaide players and with their coach lost for words, ( it was Richmond's coach in Damien Hardwick that praised their efforts and consulted Ken Hinkley after the game ). They sang their anthem 'Never Tear us apart' but that's exactly what the blood brothers in Yellow & Black did ! THEY TORE THEM APART ! Richmond not only deserved to win this game, but they deserve to win the 2020 Grand-final for being foremost a compassionate bunch of individual's and secondly for being the BEST footballers in the league today !

Port had a good run for the season, but the luck had to run out sooner or later. Couldn't handle the pressure in the 4th Quarter .

As a Richmond supporter, I must say I love it when opposing teams make statements during the week against us. Why poke the bear ? Every year the result is the same, Richmond thrive on criticism and opposition taunts. All that aside, commiserations to Port who played a very good game. The deliberate out of bounds rule desperately needs an explanation. Young Noah Balta did a brilliant job on Dixon, he wont get as much credit as he deserves but holding Dixon meant winning the game. Big Nank was brilliant, and Martin, well, he just finds a different gear in big games.

I reckon a second coming of Port Adelaides 2001-2004 form. Won 3 consecutive minor premierships in a row. Made 3 Prelims in a row, but failed to grasp the first two. Win in 2004. Two more players and they will be that team. And I’m going to be honest here, I tipped Port Adelaide to be in the bottom half. 17th. At least I got the crows right with the wooden spooners. Such a big brand and difference in one year. Despite all of this lockdown and COVID it’s affected football in a big way, it’s very hard to measure how everyone will preform next year if they get back to the way it was. Congrats to Richmond, honestly really wanted a 2004 Rematch Grand Final. Even though if Brisbane make the Grand Final I’ll be glad and happy that it Guarantees Hawthorn and it’s predecessors of staff has been involved in a Grand Final every year since 2013. I am so so so proud of port. we were never "pretenders" and us winning the minor premiership and the fact that we were consistently first since march proved all the haters wrong. even though I didn't agree with some calls from the umpire (on both sides), this game was an incredibly exciting game to watch. port gave a good fight but unfortunately, Richmond won. good luck port for next year and know, I will always be supporting you 😊💓

The scary thing is I see Tigers threatening again next year but not Port... I almost feel like this was the window. Great game. 1 of the best preliminary matches of AFL history - in my opinion.

Dudsma really looks like a tool here - too focused on showboating and antics instead of the game. Hopefully he learns from this but this was an incredible opportunity wasted by Port. Brisbane and Port won't get gifted a fixture so soft in future years. Hartlett also completely filled his shorts with that deliberate in the last quarter. He was another to get a bit chirpy pre game and then came out looking like the spud he has always been.

Yes the umpiring was bad but it was bad both ways, Richmond came out on top in an even game. We need to deal with it. But don’t you Richmond fans go bitching about it. On the way back from the oval there were a bunch of those sort of fans acting up.

Who ever complains about the umps 1. Port won the count by about 5 2. There were a lot of deliberates paid against Richmond and when Motlop kicked it out of bounds towards the end with no port players around they didn’t pay a free 3. Richmond should’ve won by more because we had 6 more scoring shots

7:13 Hard to see Robbie Gray and Travis Boak here, 2 such great players who have never been able to play in a grand final yet, and who have both been so loyal to Port despite coming from Victoria originally and having so many other teams trying to lure them back. Boak has played 283 matches and both guys started in 2007, which was the same year as Joel Selwood, and also Jack Riewoldt, Shane Edwards, and Bachar Houli. I hope Boak wins the Brownlow this year.

Tigers outplayed Port in that second half. I put it down to their significantly higher finals experience, I mean 4 prelims in a row and 2 out of the last 3 premierships. The young lads at port seemed nervous in the first half, but I reckon next year could genuinely be Port's chance at a cup

What I found hilarious was Dursma right up Lynch's face after that goal, being cocky & celebrating way too soon, then later on dropping that mark! Pull your head in Dursma, win the game first mate!
