Its a good price for an EVF for sure, used to have to pay big money for a good EVF not too long ago. I'd be interested to see how a cheaper unit stacks up against the expensive units these days.
Yeah very interesting. I have never used an expensive version. Only the ones that were already on the Arri Amira and Alexa. Seems pretty damn good for a budget version though
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Yeah sometimes a budget unit is all you need just to have a shot with no glare or a more comfortable shoulder experience. A regular application of glasses anti fog fluid is a real helpful pro tip on budget EVF's especially in the winter months coming up ;) Would be keen to catch up some time in the next few months and show you around the Gratical Eye and see for myself how the the Portkeys compares if you are ever interested :)
Hey Jason, I have a different camera to you, but had a question. How is it possible to run an external monitor and Evf together so they are both on at the same time. I don’t use sdi so only hdmi, but curious how it’s possible? Also have you got any tips for anti-fogging the Evf? Thanks
The link for the EVF takes me to amazon but the finder isnt there? Plus i cant find the evf with the battery option on version without and has to be powered... So if you could help that would be great.. Thanks..
this product seems to be the only affordable EVF on the market, very strange. However, I've read A LOT of reviews saying the eyepiece is unusable, but this video seems to suggest it's fine. I'm confused. Anyone out there used it?
