Porto 3-2 Celtic ●2002/2003 UEFA Cup Final Extended Goals & Highlights (Порт 3-2 Селтик Финал Кубка УЕФА 2003) - First European Cup of José Mourinho #portoceltic2003 #finaluefacup2003 #поркельтский2003
Warriors from Glasgow vs Dragons from Porto!!! What a players ,what a game ,what a amazing moment in football, Mourinho and prime time F.C Porto ,best team those years
que gran volante tenia ese porto que posterior mente fue la media de Portugal en el mundial 2006 ,crack Deco , maniche , victor baia ricardo derlei por el porto y Larsson y sutton por celtic
I believe that the Porto team in this final was built on half the budget compared to the Celtic team. The late 90s - early 00s period was the peak era for spending by the Old Firm clubs, while money was tight at Porto due to the building up of their new stadium (ahead of Euro 2004). Much was made in the UK about Celtic's achievement to get to Seville. So the fact that the team who beat them in the final cost considerably less money to assemble, means that Porto's achievement to win the UEFA Cup was brilliant (even before we get to the Champions League win the following season).
They beat a Scottish club mate, what are you on? That argument could be made vs the vast majority of Clubs. Even then Porto was built on a solid team and I am not denying it.
@@lewis1324 they beat a Scottish club built on twice the budget compared to them, with a significantly larger wage bill, who paid twice as money for Mo Sylla as they paid for their star striker Derlei. At the time of the that final, Carvalho was uncapped for Portugal at the age of 25, Maniche also 25 had only recently won his first cap for the Portugal and Paulo Ferreira aged 24 was only playing in his 2nd season in the Portuguese top flight. None of those players were close to well known names. So Mourinho built a very successful team on relative peanuts. It’s a clear point.
This was only 2 goals that Jose Mourinho conceded in 5 finals! He never lost one final, wow! Now I believe the time has come, cause Man UTD are unstoppable!
@@LuisFerreira-kn2nn stop by fouls implies cynicism to me ...didn't see any cynical fouls ...aggression ..Will to win leads to mistimed tackles ...intention matters
Balde first yellow was a joke....footballs a man's game...hard but fair tackle... Porto were a class side no denying but every foul their players were in pain rolling about...ref wasn't strong enough
Celtic's lack of technical ability to match Porto's quality led to constant hard fouling. Classic British vs Southern European styles. European competitions reward technical ability and punish useless physical play. Times were changing in terms of refereeing. By 2022 standards Balde would have made enough to be sent away multiple times.
@@Dice69aooooww my whole point sir pause it slow it down the camera doesn't lie....the side won really....the best technical side yes not the best hounrable side....there wasn't a malicious tackle by a Celtic player in the whole game 8f only Porto's guts matched their giulle I would have no complaints
