He shouldn't be hated on for this performance but he shouldn't be praised for this. Imo, this is a good thing for Portugal. Getting a reminder of how tough this tournament is should motivate them before playing against France.

Crying DURING a game after missing a penalty is unbecoming of a captain, and to try to frame it any other way is rationalisation. Of course a player can be *upset* after missing a big chance in a big game. But to emotionally collapse to the point of crying while the game is still ongoing, AND you’re the captain and most senior player!? There’s no defence for that…

Ronaldo was literally statistically the strongest player on the pitch until the end of the full 90 at 39 years of age. He is doing fantastic. Even messi has games where he doesn't deliver, so give credit tonboth their longevity.

Absolutely, Ronaldo had a couple of half chances, he maybe could have done better with some of his headers, but tbf the Slovenian centre backs did a very good job on him. Still though, his movement was good and he played well generally, only downside was the penalty and maybe some of the half chances
there is some weird script going on. its like every ball going to him is just touched or an inch away from his head. never seen anything like it. He stepped up and scored first and will this will make portugal become so strong as a squad. I think your right about Final and a ronnie goal
Diogo Costa is one the best GK currently, I'm portuguese and Portugal displayed a very poor football but Slovenia also parked the bus and Portugal needs to learn how to counter those teams that park the bus, but props to Slovenia, they almost had it in the bag

Park the bus and them when the chance comes you counterattack, and Portougal didn't have a chance like Slovenia did, Portougal was lucky that Šeško is not experianced enough, that 1v1 on the goalkeeper was just enough for Slovenia to win, the shots on goal don't matter, all that matters is who scores, and Ronaldo f-ed up a penelty freekick and then cried so cringe.

Who are the commentators for this match, they were really really super critical of everything Ronaldo was doing. Every move of his was criticized and they were basically slating him as bad egg the whole match

Not that easy......tremendous pressure scenario, and unlike Portugal players who almost all plays at top level club football......Slovenia players don't play at highest level and aren't much used to pressure scenarios

there is no player in football rn that has the quality to do that (mbappe miss one easier the other day, havertz missing 1vs1 also sane, lukaku missing, and i keep going if you want to. Artem Dovbyk the pichichi miss a lot for Ukraine). In general, there is no talent rn out there (prolly Musiala and Nico).
