I may believe that she misunderstood the episode entirely and I too don’t agree with what she said in that video whatsoever, but she does have the right to not like it as long as she’s respectful about it, which she was. Just don’t put too much stock into what she said there. We’re probably never going to meet in the middle as to what constitutes character development and what constitutes manipulation, but it’s whatever, I guess.
I know that I'm kind of late to this whole thing, but I just wanna point out that this episode is quite the step up since the last previous episodes we're either neutral or just not so great (not even special as well). The premise of the episode is gorgeously well done (as well as the animation), the interaction between the characters is quite entertaining and fun, and Posey is getting some well-deserved respect, no doubt. Although it's only a matter of time before the next special episode cometh real soon, one can't help but wonder if this special episode would be a big hit like the first special episode, or nothing to special, but regardless even if it doesn't turn out great, I'll never forget that it does it's best on telling a unique story within the episode. So glad to see another true good episode again, we really needed it. I love that Posey's getting even more development and that it wasn't just for one episode. She's come a long way. I also liked the song and the ending was very wholesome. Also, that 360 shot of Sunny near the end was really well animated, especially for this show.
@@smashbrothers13 Yeah, I really like that 360 shot too. It took me a second rewatch to fully process that they did that, but that was actually a pretty cool visual flourish. In general, this season really seems to be experimenting with different camera techniques, unique shot placements, so on and so forth. It really shows how the budget has gone up, and I for one am all here for it.
I love how the g5 writers is giving posey more character development but sadly they gave up on comet and as always leave hitch and sparky out of the sleepover again also I hope they give him better episodes because he only has one good episode this season
Hitch and Sparky not being there kind of makes sense since they don't live in the Crystal Brighthouse and it's clearly a mares-only sleepover. As for Comet, I might be in the minority on this, but I personally believe we'll see him again at least once this season because the first TYT special showed that they at least haven't forgotten about the auroricorns.
This was fun! I'm happy for Posey. The song was bop! The animation was great, with the ponies dancing and when the Brighthouse got in on the fun. That ending scene with Crystal B and Sunny was sweet 🥰
@@MasonMcBride-x8o Yeah, it was. This actually seems to mark the first time Sunny actually talked to the Brighthouse and referred to it by name unless I’m missing a couple episodes or something. I don’t know, 70 episodes last season is hard to keep track of. I find it pretty sweet and adorable the way she has a genuine bond with her own home, and it really makes the Brighthouse seem like its own distinct character in a way.
Glad that poesy is becoming a main character. Also i think the elements of harmony souls are in the brighthouse. That chocolate fountain seems like a thing pinkie pie would want
Very fun ep, Posey is being treated a lot nice than on s1 and I like it! The make ups for the girls and the song were amazing! And this is the 2nd pajamada ep, and once again Hitch was absent, but we know pajamadas are more a girl thing, I'm thinking that they also could deliver us a guys night ep featuring Hitch, Sparky, Comet, Rocky, Thunder and even Sprout, I'd love that! Tyt is back on track and I hope it keeps the good work 👍
I think they should include both the girls and boys in the next sleepover so there's gender equality! I'm not a fan of episodes that focus on mostly the guys or mostly the girls that would be boring if it's just the boys or just girls I like having fun with girls I think every episode should have equal amounts of gender! Sleepovers should include all genders! I want a sleepover episode with Comet, Hitch and Sprout having a sleepover with the Mane 5 including Sunny, Izzy, Pipp and Zipp! Maybe they can include everypony in Izzy's birthday! I heard another song called The Party Is Just Begun in one of the leaked songs on the album. I think this episode will include Hitch hopefully because I remember Hitch was at Sparky's birthday ofcourse and he invited everypony except Posey and Sprout for some reason. I am not a big Hitch fan but I'm confused why he wasn't invited to Sunny's party I thought Sunny and Hitch where friends since they where kids it's weird she only invited Posey?
@@kingtechnology9350I wish Hitch was involved in this episode, too. I don't mind it that much, but that would have been really nice for a gender equal sleepover. The sleepover thing being more associated with girls is common, so that's probably why he wasn't here. He wasn't there in The Traditional Unicorn Sleepover either, but at least that time, he had to get Sparky home so he could get some rest. It's not like he regularly hires babysitters, at least not yet.

The writers of Tell Your Tale are just copying Wild Manes and Make Your Mark they just write the same stories over and over again like they just copied Missing The Mark and Bridlewood Stock but made reduculous lame versions like Sprout and Spike where in Missing Mark but not in TYT version! They never get the stories right either Izzy did not throw donuts at Opaline she threw furniture!And there was no racoon! TYT copies MYM and makes terrible versions of the episodes and ruins them by subsctracting characters like Sprout and Spike and messing up the story with continuity errors! At least the reason Hitch was not at the Traditional Sleeepver was because he was with Sparky. But in this episode they don't tell us why Hitch is there for some weird reason. And in Hallomares Hitch is in the episode the rest of the Mane 5 are not there except Sunny which made it boring even Hawk agreed it was boring! It's weird that in the last episode it was just Hitch and Sunny now Hitch is not there and it's just the other Mane 5. This episode was definitely an improvement over the last episodes but I think hope they include everypony in the next sleepover episode or that's going to get really cliche and boring! If TYT is going to keep making cliche and boring repetitive stories like this we need to start making our own fanfiction stories! Fanfiction is the key to fixing cliche writing!

@@JavierVelez2007 Yeah, it’s really great to see. This is the sort of respect I want her character to receive. Now that the writers are finally tapping into her full potential, the possibilities are endless. Heck, a friend of mine on Fimfiction said that she could potentially replace Comet as the seventh member of the cast, in which case, I’ll gladly take it at this point. Episodes like this one and her previous one really make a strong case for it, and this is the arc she truly deserves. Plus, I’m starting to really like her in general.

Posey’s really grown on me lately this season, the more development she gets this season, the more she earns the spot in the main cast. Speaking of which, I love the idea of Posey joining the main cast to replace Comet, because let’s be honest here, Posey is the right pony to be the 7th member of the main cast later down the line because of episodes like this giving her so much character development unlike season 1 where she was just treated as the punching bag, hence why I didn’t care for Snow Pun Intended.

It’s funny how Tell Your Tale released a sleepover episode shortly after Wild Manes did a sleepover episode. Funny coincidence I guess. It was nice to get some more development for Posey. I can also relate with her to wanting to go to bed early and get enough sleep. If I don’t get at least 8 hours of sleep, I feel like a walking zombie througkut the day ☠️. The only thing about this episode I didn’t like too much was how the Crystal Brighthouse was. Like, can the magic just go anything now?!?! What’s the rules?! Or do the writers just make it do whatever the heck they want? Maybe I’m overthinking it too much. It is just a horse show after all, haha. I also like the comparison that you made to the tree of harmony spirit, which I didn’t think of at first which actually makes a lot of sense.

This was breath of fresh air for Tell Yoru Tale as a whole after the last two episodes. And it’s nice seeing Posey not get abused for the 500th time and actually see character development form her. Here’s hoping for the second special to keep up the momentum from this episode.
I'm glad the Brighthouse is now a character in this series this show keeps getting better and better except the last two episodes but we're back on track!!!!
@@medixstar9184 Give it time. The fact that her song got leaked a couple months ago proves without a doubt that Allura is going to reappear in the show. We have to remember that MLP has always had simple slice of life stories as its primary bread and butter. It was always relatively light on plot, and FIM succeeded with this formula. Make Your Mark was the only outlier to this rule to be fair, but still. I don’t expect the plot to constantly be developing every couple of episodes like that series. While there is a main narrative going with Allura, I’m okay with waiting for it to progress as long as the stories around it are all around good, which this show definitely has. Think of it like FIM Season 4, or Season 9. It had a main story, but it took time to progress because the main focus was on the smaller stories with meaningful lessons. That’s exactly what’s happening here, and it’s completely fine. Patience is key.
Enough said, this episode rocked. Only thing I don't like is how episodes like this are always going to exclude Hitch, but at least it allows for the exclusion of Comet to make sense. The feeling of Comet getting snubbed for Posey does irritate me, but I love how they're making Posey more than a punching bag. Also love how this episode proves that us getting two episodes that aren't the best doesn't mean anything, no reason to enable the way haters exaggerate.

It's about the titular Valt, a member of a small species of deer known as wonder deer, which have magical power through their connection to nature. But because his parents were kidnapped by Da-Ming, the evil king of the taoties, Valt ends up being raised and taught by a family of blue monkeys, and becomes good friends with one of them, Cobalt. And so, whilst learning a lot of life lessons along the way, Valt teams up with Cobalt and Kem, a good taotie, to gather a prophesized group of three other friends and the five Wuxing in order to stop Da-Ming. Although this is just the plot of the first season, and I've only started its first few episodes on Tubi.
Again, all I want to know is what is up with the Brighthouse. I want us to be able to get to the bottom of it, be able to understand how and why it is a sentient being, capable of thinking on its own despite us not seeing it express emotions or thoughts beyond its more symbolic gestures. This, alongside an answer to why the Nova Charm was able to do what it did in The Blockywockies, are things that I can let go of for the time being. But I am going to be pretty disappointed if we never get any sort of answer to these things.

It's nice to see a character like Posey being brought out and having their potential explored. It takes the load off of trying to keep the central characters in the main focus all the time. I have a hard time trying to like TYT because of my personal dislike for the animation style and the short format. But that episode is pretty ok.
@@lazarian4428 TYT in general really has a grasp on how to do background ponies justice the way its predecessor did. I recommend you give it a chance regardless of your personal dislike of the short format. I may be among the minority in adoring the animation style (except for Izzy’s design), but there are episodes way better than this one too that you might love. This season in general has been a massive improvement over the first in a lot of ways despite its occasional missteps. It really is worth your time.

Too bad Addy Lovestar doesn’t like this one. Maybe it’s just me but he has way too many high expectations from g5 or just any media. Never anything suits his taste. But I guess you just have to except that though. Nothing wrong with wanting the best for stuff but at least try to find the positive in some things.

It isn’t easy, but the key thing when it comes to criticism for this generation is to differentiate between critiques coming from a place of love and those from a place of hate. Addy loves G5 as a whole, she just has different standards than most of us on what constitutes a good episode. Meanwhile, the G5 hatedom seeks to tear down this generation and they criticize it out of spite. They celebrate when G5 fails at something. Addy doesn’t do that, and that’s what makes me respect her opinions regardless if I agree with her or not. She’s not biased against it like most people. She just has different opinions, and her critiques come from a place of love, not hate. That’s the defining difference that I, and am sure she as well, wish more people understood. Criticizing G5 isn’t bad by default. It’s your intentions with it, and how you carry yourself when doing so that really matter in the end.

The inclusion of Posey is nice, but if we take out the insane brighthouse antics and very long musical number, what's the actual story we're left with here? It's Posey's first sleepover, they get her to do sleepover activities, and she enjoys them. There isn't even a conflict in this one, just gobs of filler.
Yeah, you could take the supernatural stuff out of the episode and the musical number, but the message would still stand. It's about learning to try new things, that maybe you'll find something that you enjoy if you just try it -- long as it's not dangerous of course. This episode and P + P = BFFs is a direct contrast to her only focus episode previously, which was the opposite lesson: just because others enjoy something, that doesn't mean that *you* have to enjoy it. If you don't feel comfortable doing something, there's a reason to try it, but if you don't want to, you don't have to force yourself.
