Positions: Ariana Grande's Sixth Album Review/Reaction 

What was your favorite track of positions? Did the album live up to your expectations? Where do you think Ari will go next?

Honestly the songs 34+35, West Side, safety net, six thirty, nasty, obvious, and POV are some of my favorite of all time. The lyrics are amazing and so sassy & perfect or vibin

Yeah this one really did feel like a passion project that she didn't need to release but wanted to and made an already good, solid, light breezy, album even less weighted but way more rich. :)

"a collection of songs she really wanted to release..." you know, if you put it that way, i understand the album more. even the first track sampled the intro and outro of her unreleased track, baby loves

Still one of my favorite albums. Positions was a love letter to herself and us, her fans. We’ve been awaiting her RNB return and it was so nice. Also, 2 years later my only hope is she continues to hone her rnb sound and add her own personal elements in. She fixed that enunciation of course so I have such high hopes! Her voice is matured now too. I cannot wait.

This album has some really great tracks like pov, my hair, and the collabs, but everything else just feels like a thank u next b-side to me

I liked 34+35. It kinda shows how adultish she's become. A lot of people want to still think of her as a Nickelodeon star, but that's REALLY not the reality. Like she's 27. I do think that the collaborations weren't needed and could have been separate songs, but they were fun. I also think the album could've been an EP or Mixtape. But the record is not Ari's worst. It is listenable and enjoyable for a listen or two.

i tinkt this album was really boring. i only liked motives and positions. the rest just sounded like some forgetting bonus tracks from sweetner put together

Didn’t enjoy the album. Felt like I kept listening to the same beat 😩. I expected more.

I personally loved this album!!! Although it’s not my favorite Thank you next, dangerous women, and sweetener are my top 3. I love how Ariana has leveled up and is making songs about her sexual life. This album is definitely related towards teens and adults. I love the change and she sounds amazing with the R n B pop mix.

am i the only one how just didn't clicked with Motive?... Doja verse and vocals were pretty disappointing it felt so low energy wth??

I love the album and i genuinely do not see the problem with it. Productions was good(i love the strings throughout). Vocal production was EVERYTHING. She sang DOWN on this one. I don't see how people keep saying "its the same trap beat over and over" when it clearly isnt. The only "trap music " imo was obvious and 34+35. Then some songs had a somewhat trap beat. I think theres a difference in trap music and a trap beat. Not to mention, the trap beats werent all the same. The lyrical content may not be her best, but it was most certainly relatable, and i was vibing. Its some of ari's best work. This album may not be for everyone but its most certainly not a flop. Its already in my top 3 along with sweetener and dangerous woman. Overall, i really enjoyed this album. No skips for me.
