The quality of obfuscation was first class, as was her forgetfulness. Neither of which are qualities of a CEO or an Anglican priest. If she doesn't end up sewing mailbags, there is something wrong with British justice.

The sufferring this Woman and her collegues has on her hands is unbelievable.

I’m just perplexed as to what she did every day. She isn’t a lawyer; she isn’t a techie; she isn’t PR aware She can’t type / put onto paper what she means. The Peter principle proved!

Her PR team have very carefully coached her. Sadly, this is an inquiry hearing, not a trial. The KC is walking on egg shells, he has to be polite and not ask certain questions because of parliamentary privilege, in other words he's got a hand tied hehind his back. Vennels still has a plumb job, didn't you know ? So just a few crocodile tears and this will all go away, BUT her disdain and contempt for her victims is still there, just under the surface.

Amazing how these people occupying senior positions had such poor memories! I was waiting for her to say she was just following orders.

Sarah Burgess-Boyd hit the nail on the head when she said these people don't know the difference between right and wrong. Unfortunately those that don't know the difference are our MP's, MD's, executives, solicitors, most of them have power and hold all the cards in this country which is why there is so little justice.

Paula’s idea of being a CEO. It’s all Susan’s fault or I don’t recall. She’s bereft of understanding right and wrong, competent versus incompetent and scepticism versus blind faith. Watching her, promoted way beyond her capability. She might have made a nice server in a corner sweet shop. But even then, if she accidentally sold poison to customers, somehow she’d know it wasn’t her fault, it was everyone else that failed to check the label on the tin. And justify that she kept selling it regardless.

All the PO people in this inquiry talk exactly the same way. They can remember with perfect accuracy anything that suits them, even from many years back. Anything unpalatable, even with an email confirming it, and they forget. I wonder who is coaching them all and who is paying for it.

Anyone stating "I don't remember", "I don't recall" or "I was not involved in the conversation" so many times is guilty by just doing so or grossly incompetent and should be held accountable therefor for it either way. Executives and managers should be fired, charged on grounds of suspension as the postal workers were. Its utterly disgusting!

It was a hard watch but I watched these past two days of Vennels giving evidence and I cannot believe the numerous times she apologised for saying something in writing then stating she didn’t mean that. Her witness statement, scrutinised by her lawyers, had a number of inaccuracies which was rightly questioned by the KC. Her answers were, at times, all over the place going off at a tangent in a garbled confused manner. Still she wont be receiving Christmas cards from a number of her previous colleagues.

They do know the difference between right and wrong, but they think if they lie, and cheat, dismiss, belittle, intimidate and accuse they will get away with all the wrong they are guilty of.

A total incompetent in a job that was way out of her league. Believing that what she said was always right and firmly stuck in the same mindset that the system was faultless.

Time in jail, often helps people with their memory.

It is so galling watching her afforded many years of ‘reflection’ and now publicly able to pontificate about her recollection of events. She’s minted, dripping in wealth. Her colleagues too. All the while there are postmasters being offered pitiful amounts of compensation that take years to be calculated. Vennells and her team should be in prison. Post masters deserves millions EACH in compensation.

This bishop manque with no functioning memory, who was never at meetings or part of any conversation relating to the organisation she was supposed to be managing - what did she appear to offer.

Now: Every trade has its own ethos - my sister is a journalist and would NEVER, EVER tell who her sources are. Professional bus drivers would never touch alcohol before driving. Musicians try not to diss or steal from each other. And in most jobs, you would rather die than lie. But - and there is a big but here - lawyers and economists are taught, that a single truth does not exist. That facts can be bent or spun. And Vennells here - as an economist - shows exactly that.

How can a highly paid head of a company ‘Not Know’ or ‘Can’t Remember’ anything that May incriminate her?

I believe that she should be prosecuted about where she has misled the attempts by the postmasters to get justice - and also if her memory and cognisance is so poor, the salary and bonuses she received should be returned by selling her assets. Given her former position as Post Office CEO, her capacity for recollection of key events during her tenure appear to be poor at best. I would have thought that this would have been one of the most important qualifications in securing the job from the outset ? I therefore can only conclude, that this woman is clearly 'Lying through her teeth' & will do anything to avoid what ought to result in a Custodial Sentence.

Their logo is " whatever you need us for, we're here for you". They spent £100 million in expensive lawers to try to avoid paying £58 million in compensation. The class action saw the incorrectly convicted see £20,000 in compensation after court costs. The executive salaries were between £250,000 and £500,000. Post Office investigators were given bonuses for every Horizon conviction
