Thanks for the great info you always provide. I had a pothos that i planted at the base of a huge Tx ebony tree which it just adhere to the trunk that the leaves got ginormous and covered the entire trunk. Unfortunately it died with the recent deep freeze we experienced in So. Tx but, luckily a tiny plant reappear.at the base. Love the shade and scented flower of these trees but, don't like it's thorny branches and the seed pods. When they shed their tiny leafs it's work raking them but great for composting. I just love the transformation the pathos look on tree trunks. Also had a question when you plant a pothos in a hanging basket how can you have it grow in ball looking shape and prevent the leggy look?

Hi - Pothos grow up trees in nature. You can keep them full by tip pruning the trails as they emerge. Nell

Nel, is there a reason you don’t do T cuttings on each leaf/node? To have more leaves with roots? Not sure if this makes sense? That’s what I typically do but I know you have lots of experience so just wondering 🤓 I love water propagating! It’s so easy!

Water propagating is easy. I assume you're talking about leaf cuttings? It's a preference - I guess it's because I'm too impatient waiting for them to grow! Nell

Ok I am so curious! How did your cuttings do with trimming the roots?? I have a pothos I have been growing in our fish tank and want to transfer it to a pot but it’s roots are so long that it makes me nervous

Hi Brittany I just watched this video and saw your comment. I know it is a long time ago but in case you decided to leave the plant in the aquarium....I can say from my own experience chopping roots is fine I have not had a problem. You can chop just before transferring to a pot. Even better if you have time you can chop the roots and leave in water and wait for little secondary roots to grow (usually they come out near the top of the root system) and then transplant to soil. I find the plant settles in and grows much quicker with a few secondary roots near the top.
