Every year I search through my tackle looking for swimbait lead heads, only to find out I've used them all. So this year I decided to pour some myself and plenty to last for awhile. www.tubebuddy.com/stevefromwy...
Never seen a production pot that didnt leak ! 🤣 I take an old spoon and drag out the impurities off the top , 9 times outa 10 thats what makes them leak ..... I think ! #teamsteve
those sure are light weight for fishing out of Newport, my lightest ones are 1.5 ounce and I go up to 4 using a 5 inch to 7 inch swimbait made by Candy bar sliders. Also if you open up that mold into a v shape while you are heating up the lead it warms it up more even.
I had no idea you did this Steve. So do I. I have several molds including that one. De-mold is a little tough but well worth it. Great jig. I noticed you aren't using the plastic keeper. Do you have any issues with your plastics sliding off?
@@SteveFromWyoming No problem I was curious because I like the mold, but not a fan of the keepers. they seem to rip up the plastics pretty good. I have an idea for an alternative, but it would require a Dremel and some patience. Guess which one I dont have LOL
@@SteveFromWyoming true and these wouid be retained in my own personal fishing stash that nobody can mess with. I'll order some good nail polish tonight from the Avon Lady...before her deadline is up. ;)
