this is a old clip from 2021 of a 737-800 arriving on stand and having rear step placed on the aircraft for passenger disembarkation. then we move to me doing the headset on the pushback and start up faze of the aircaft turnaround
@Ramper Ryan I have a doubt. During the process of pushback I could see that you were pushing the plane backwards. Why is this so? Is it something related to traffic or clearance for the aircraft?🤔
@@ramperryan Thank you so much for the answer. But I still have one more doubt. The towbar that you were using to tow the aircraft, what is the manufacture’s name? Is it “hydro.aero” or “Clyde”?
This is something im interested in doing. How long did it take for you to pick everything up and feel comfortable? I feel like it's one of those jobs with so much lingo I'd never pick it up 🤣
I applied a few years ago and they give you all the training you will ever need to do this role. Other airports have different names and different ways of running these roles. And then different countries have completely different names for these roles. So for the United Kingdom in the simple way to explain Ramp agent - is a baggage handler/ loader/ ground crew Flight dispatcher/TCO is the person in charge of the turnaround of the aircraft and deals with the loading and weight and balance of the aircraft.
The company has many which stay in a box that contains the nose wheel steering pins for many aircraft so we can disconnect the nose wheel steering. These boxes get taken out when we go to flights or when taking a tug to a flight
