Clearly i've dated the wrong men since none of them would have even considered doing these things. You have set a new relationship bar for all of us book girls. And i'll now be reading the twisted series since i never have. So thanks for that. I think.
I read books about dragons with lots of murder for all I expect is they to enjoy blood not it that way mind out of the gutter and to read the books so I can talk about it
Was going to comment on that. As an ace,I could do without the spicy stuff in my books but I would enjoy my partner just dressing up and saying the lines 😂
@@cheezarose yeah same lol, I started the ACOTAR books and not even three chapters in to the second I just stopped ‘cause well… so much in three chapters. I will continue eventually but not right now lol
Same. Plus I also read a lot of female rage books so that doesn’t help matters. At this point there needs to be a bookish dating app/speed dating event for people like us
Oh 🤗 Hold out. I was the same. Then I found a man that loves to read to me, happily lets me take up more space for my books in our bags, and who willingly stripped off in a pond to reenact that scene from Pride and Prejudice. That he has never seen and I know isn't his thing. I am annoying as heck, ugly as f, and in a mega sitty situation made by others that I can't seem to break from and dispite all that and more he stands by me. Trust me. Good ones do exist. All the best. What you really want to look out for is a man that doesn't care about your love of books, if it's part of you then he should care about it.
Not really book related but my partner started doing "The Gomez Adams hand-kissing thing" (or Jack from Titanic if you will) after he realized how much it delights me.
Hey, once a book girl always a book girl. School does suck the joy out of reading but they can’t take away our love of fictional men and desire to live in a fantasy world. When I was too tired to read in college, tv and movies allowed me to escape reality.
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS…. is to be that girl who has a boyfriend who actually cares about her love of books and obsessions over fictional characters 😅
The part where the bf was reading out loud reminds me of when I was in the hospital and my mom tried reading Outlander to me. It was hilarious to say the least.😂
The hoodie!!!😂 I teach middle school and whenever I see one of the boys eyeing a new girl I feel a desperate need to tell them to keep an eye on their hoodie. The boyfriend toll is real and you will *never* get that back.
My husband had exactly one and I stole it back when we were just great friends and he was dating someone else. We should have known it would end up this way lol
Ya know I have this weird thing about sex scenes in books. I'm an asexual book girl so I spend half a book hoping there won't be a sex scene then half that same book reading sex scenes. But the funny part is I don't get disgusted or cringe my brain goes "Is that even humanly possible? How can someone do that? How do you ask someone about this without them thinking this is what you want?"
Haha I’m ace as well and I used to read sex scenes and be like hmm it’s so interesting that people like this but I have seen too many sex scenes in my time that now I’m like yeah yeah we get it and skip it
the Kamasutra is a good starting point. if it's in there then it's possible. if it's not then it's improbable. for worse things you may want to look at De Sade (don't eat before you read. or while you read. or after you read. but although disgusting and disheartening it is usually possible). for more specific things, variations add ons and spin offs you may want to use the incognito mode on google and pray the FBI decides you're trying to write a book.
I'm hetero, but i get annoyed by sex scenes in most books. Its like "lets write a cheap story and fill it with smut, then ppl will love it", and I'm like.... Give me a great story.
@@Xiallaci Exactly! I have become EXTREMELY picky over the years and only read spicy scenes by a few writers that don't rewrite the same scenes in every book with minor wording changes. It's like they copy-paste the damn things and then do minor edits...
I'm usually annoyed by sex scenes and just skip them (also in movies) 😂 Like why is there sex in the middle of an action/fantasy movie? It isn't even important for the story. I must be very involved with the character and the love part must be part of the plot to make me keep reading.
I fully admit, I have quietly screamed (because I didn't need my family to know what I was reading) "Don't be!" or "I need to turn on my fan." to my steamy books. LOL! So I can relate to that big time! LOL!
all the beeps lol I fell off the bed laughing, I'm currently listening to these books, and let me tell you its rather interesting hearing someone read them to you
ROFL I just finished the "Twisted Love" series and all her other books she's written. I kept telling my hubby things in it and told him he was in trouble. 😂 This is such a true video! 🎉
I was screaming laughing at "Virtuously". I'm like, "There's no way this man is a virgin! 😂😅" 😂😅 It did give season 1 SpongeBob SquarePants humor vibes though. 😂🤣💀⚰️
The last one really got me thinking though like.. Where have you been, my whole entire life?! And why does age-gap exist, why do you live in a whole other country?! *Internally screaming right now!!!*
I agree wholeheartedly! I am old enough to be his mother, but would much rather be his mama! But, seriously, not only is Stuart the most handsome man I have ever seen. He seems genuinely kind, funny, smart and has that sexy Irish accent. Le sigh.
Accurate and hilarious! 😂 Also, not book related, but "I appreciate the attempt" has the same energy as Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3 after the lance and building incident. 🤣
I laugh-snorted-coughed so hard through this. And had to rewind several times to go over parts I missed while laughing. I was also quite impressed with the shirt off with one hand move 😂 mad skills! You rock the long hair. I think I would cry if you cut it. Subscribed immediately ❤❤❤
This is hilarious and true. I'm a book girl and a webtoon girl, unfortunately I can only safely read some of them when my fiance isn't home. Sometimes you just wanna read and not roleplay.
😂😂 This was so gooood!! I honestly laughed so hard😂😂 I haven’t been on RU-vid much lately but this made my day!! As book lover myself, these may be quiet true if I were to ever find someone lol 😂🤭
Ok the walking through the water looked really gorgeous though. I sent this to a friend that was recommending the court books. I read all the pg romance fantasy books. I'm not ready yet! 😆 This was really funny
Love that you went to Jareth 1st 😂👌 (goblin king/fairy king... same difference 🤪) Also, i must have seen the Henry Cavill one several dozen times and i always forget you're playing both roles. The quiver is superb!
Omg, this is hilarious and SO freakin’ awesome! Makes me really miss having a boyfriend (I can’t find men who actually read so it’s hard to connect and I don’t date much).
My boy does this with my fangirl music. He gets my obsession with my musicians and tries to be like them, plays theirs songs and knows the stories, it’s weird but so funny
❤❤❤❤❤ahhhhh!!!!!!! This is my guilty pleasure !!!!! I tried to role play and have my ex read books and he never did, I thought those guys didn't exist,!!! Ahh !!!!! Be mine !?!😭😭
I... I laugh way too hard at this. How... Who threw that book? Such 'passion' in there xD The little giggles, the wishing to be whisked away. "Goblin king, Goblin king, take me away from all of this!"
All I needed was the ACOTAR references. I was blushing so hard to those books.😳 Reading steamy scenes at school and in my room with my brother in there too was just aaaaahhhh 😳😳😖😶🌫️🥰
My dying laughing and echolalia repeating, “have you got a leprechaun fetish?” so much I had to pause the video and then I had time enough to process and found myself suddenly turning, looking up into the distance and asking myself, “have I got a leprechaun fetish?” because I do have a bit of a ginger fetish tbh. and I do love that accent. and I really liked that leprechaun movie growing up weirdly enough it did make me feel… things.
