Your POV videos are pretty good! You not only show how you do it, thru the POV, but your comments later on after you make the pictures are pretty helpful. Keep it up the good work! Cheers!

Fascinating to see this POV approach, anyone can learn so much from watching the moments you are looking for, the speed of shooting, and sequence of shooting a scene develop. It's all there if you just watch properly. Maybe because I go back in photography to using film, but even now with 'free' digital photography, I think I'm rather parsimonious with frames, both on the street(which is merely my downtime 'snapping') and commercially, maybe too much so? Anyway, thanks for the vid', I look forward to future ones.

Hi Nick a superb video. In the past I used to work a scene for around two or three minutes but thanks to your advice I have stretched that to twenty minutes minimum and I am getting better results.

I almost never comment stuff on RU-vid, but I can't help myself when it comes to Nick's videos. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Every video is like a photography masterclass. I love the commentary, the pictures, the process. I would pay for these videos.

Hi Nick. Thanks for sharing these videos, really helpful. I was wondering if you will post some of them made when the weather conditions will not be the best (like rainy day and/or heavy cloudy or even night shooting) You first video was made during a partially cloudy day but I would love to see you working in a different weather conditions as it will bring the shooting to another level, compared to one made on a full sunny day. Grazie! Ciao

Hi Nick, incredible video as always, hope they'll keep coming. I myself have lost several good images on the street because I didn't find the guts to snap the picure and overall I think a lot of people struggle with the fear shooting on the streets. Do you have any plans to make a video adressing this issue?
@streetphotographywithnickt1648
That’s a good idea, I’ll add it to my list, thank you :-)

Nick, how do you capture EVF output during shooting? Thank You.
@gobgobcachoo

I take a "shoot and scoot" kind of approach. but I'll see if I can force myself to stick to one area and see what happens over time.

Nick you shoot loose and then work in. Do you ferret rejects away or delete them outright?

It's a good place to shoot...I was there last week, before seeing Martin Parr expo. Portobello market was also a great place to shoot for me and Stables market in Camden too.. ...I enjoy your video each time I see them. Keep going on!

Can someone explain how he records it as a POV through his camera?
@kaziushioda5929

Clear, concise, articulate and informative. A breath of fresh air. Thank you Nick. I imagine your POV technique will be seriously copied. Quick question, maybe you've answered it elsewhere, are you typically using the optical viewfinder or electronic viewfinder or the back of the screen?
@streetphotographywithnickt1648
Hi Kazi, thank you for the kind words. I bought the X100F for it’s optical viewfinder but quickly switched to the EVF and have used it ever since. I love to see what’s actually going to be recorded.

Like seeing the POV vid but surprised to learn you're a spray & pray machine-gun shooting style kind of guy.
@streetphotographywithnickt1648
Not really Mike, this is edited together out of 4hrs of walking and not shooting anything. I do shoot alot when I feel something is happening and I do shoot a lot in a day but not much praying goes on :-)
@mikemcc400

@@streetphotographywithnickt1648 Thanks for reply. I think maybe you misunderstood, I get that you edited a full day of shooting. I meant I was surprised to see you shooting scenes in Continuous/Burst mode (machine gun). Like w/ the girls with umbrellas, rather than take single shots when you thought the moment was right, you hit burst and took as many frames as you could. I get that there's no right or wrong way and the end image is what matters, but also I don't typically see shooters at your level using Burst mode which is why I was surprised.
@streetphotographywithnickt1648
Ah I see, I like to use the technology we have available to us. I think HCB would use 8fps if he was around today. It depends on the scene unfolding of course.
