I'm a beginner street photographer and I must say that your RU-vid content is the most useful you can find around here along with Sean Tucker's. I sincerely love it, and I hope you keep your channel going on for a long time.

'a photographer who does a bit of RU-vid, not a RU-vidr who does a bit of photography' Remarkably, the RU-vidrs who do a bit of photography seem to know just about everything about photography, experts without a serious product. Anyway Nt, glad to see another video!

The part where you said “the council had done some crazy shit here on the cycles lines” made me laugh! It’s interesting to watch how you work and process a scene. I find myself working in a very similar style when theses little going on here along the seafront.. for this time of year, this is definitely the style of street photography I have to adopt. - less reactive and more constructive. Great idea to get out of London to produce this too! I’d be very interested to see how you would work in an almost completely rural environment. Great stuff, looking forward to seeing more when you have the time.

Is there not noise at 3200 with Fuji 100? If you apply a noise reduction , the result that you obtain is not some pastel painting like? I have a Canon 6D and I just can't shoot at 3200 without apply a strong noise reduction that undefine the scene as a final result.

Hi Nick - Thanks for your practical approach to showing us your ways of using the camera in different real-life situations. Being a Fuji X-Series camera owner myself (X-E3 w/ the XF 23mm F2), I especially like seeing through your viewfinder. Would it be possible to discuss some of the reasons for your combination of settings near the end of each video once you've seen the viewfinder playback yourself examining different shooting situations (like the -1/3 stop setting in your Exposure Compensation in what looks like "average" lighting)? In this particular shooting situation, what are the resulting ISO settings on most of these images. That is one thing that bugs me about setting your camera to AUTO ISO - it simply only displays the top setting and which of the 3 custom ISO is active? Thanks :)

Thanks Nick! Do you ever get the urge to throw in a shot or two with some motion blur in a foreground layer (e.g. a passer by)? I saw you have some motion blur in some of your website portfolio. Is there a quick way you know of to switch the Fuji to such a mode (and back again) - maybe a shortcut button you can assign to force 1/8th second while pressed? Guessing there are many ways to do it, but interested to know if I missed something. Thanks

@streetphotographywithnickt1648
@streetphotographywithnickt1648 4 года назад
I’m using auto ISO so 3200 is the highest I allow the camera to go to. Most shots are much less that that.

I do use burst when things are unfolding quickly, I spend a lot of time, watching and walking taking no pictures but when things are coming together I use continuous firing.

@streetphotographywithnickt1648
@streetphotographywithnickt1648 4 года назад
Thanks Fabien, just to clarify the iso situation, I have it set to Auto with a maximum of 3200. The shots are rarely exposed at that. The camera shows me the maximum rather than the actual iso being used in each situation.
