@@tokyoishappyBONESS!!! pelant was so obsessed with her and for what?? literally no reason. Also the whole "can't marry brennan bc i'll frame you for the murders booth" wanted to make me rip my hair out ngl
this is actually one of those older shirts that only have a certain number of buttons lol. i thrift n i've bought a couple of these, thats literally the highest u can button them.
Same broo I thought that in some moments Amy fit the criteria that she presented on here, but thats very common on cop shows so... Also it's maybe bc she's a type A, very career driven and perfectionist, ig
Their ex fiancé left them at the altar to be with his mistress, so now she buries herself into her work and swears off love, until one day a rookie joins her squad and she has to teach him the ropes...
ngl that sounds like a book plot - except it starts a week ish before the rookie joins and she keeps getting flashbacks whenever she ‘s with it about her ex . . . and he looks mysteriously like her ex . . . plot twist he ‘s the ex ‘s long lost twin lol
I just want one cop show like this where they legit DON'T romantically like each other ever. They never get together, there's no 'will they won't they', just coworkers. Just one. That or make it gay. Just something else!
I love the very end addition “or make it gay”. 😂 _________ So now I’ve thought about it too much. Have it be the character that they’re showing in this clip (super serious, won’t let people see her as ‘less of a man’ because she’s a woman, etc). And then the one girl who doesn’t give a sh_t, likes being pretty, understands people will look at her as ‘less than’ or ‘more incompetent’ because she’s a lady, but uses it to her advantage. They hate each other for being opposites (person A hates that B let’s men “walk all over her”; person B hates A cause A let’s men dictate how she acts). For bonus points, make a silly goofy man who’s new or something be one of the other main characters, and he tries to flirt with person A. Everyone ships goofball with A, eventually we realize B is trying more and more to make Goofball to back up (defend A and make the guy stop flirting). After however amount of time, idk how it would lead up to it, but they start to respect each other and defend each other. They work better and better with each other. Finally, eventually, they get to have each other. ❤️🧡🤍🩷💜 Not quite enemies to lovers. But more like enemies to friends to lovers. In two of my shows I watch, the serious girl gets with the goofy guy. They hate each other cause they are opposites and get in each other’s way. But they realize they work well together, despite still hating each other. Then they date/marry. But this lesbian one, they hate each other cause they are opposites and get in each other’s way. But they realize the other one isn’t actually that bad and has reasons for being opposites. They respect each other’s differences. Because of this, they finally finally work well together and become friends. After a while of that, then they eventually date/marry. Edit: The 🌸pick-me✨🎀 girl (who’s actually not a pick-me and is 3-dimensional once you know them) and the 💪”I’m not like other girls”☕️🕶️ (who’s actually not one of them and is 3-dimensional once you know them) fall in love.
”Brooklyn99” is a comedy but makes it gay and bi! It also actually acknowledges systemic problems in the force and prison system! It does have some romance, though…I just can not fathom why it’s inescapable!
OMG YES!!! Brenda's outfits every episodes are *chef's kiss* 🤌🏽🤌🏽✨✨ I love a strong female character that doesn't shy away from their femininity ✨ it's very empowering✨
I remember once reading an article on that and it said that women were written this way to make it easier to appeal to the male audience, bc relating to a female character was such an outlandish concept for them 👀
@whatscookingoodlookin1 saying that boys can't relate to female characters is pretty stupid given how many beloved female video game characters there are, as well as nearly every study done on the difference between boys and girls socialization with toys and media shows that girls prefer making their characters more like them while boys want to be more like their characters. Saying the male audience can't relate to female characters is an unfounded sexist jab at men.
@@philswift8793i mean i'm sure the article is just stating what writers and directors think. and what plenty of men have complained about in the past (not being able to relate to a female character unless she's "one of the boys")
@skyhideaway I have never heard men complaining about being unable to relate to a female character because she isn't 'one of the boys'. There is probably some dumbass out there that thinks that, but that is in no way a widespread sentiment. It's a sexist caricature of men and how they consume media.
Needs more eye rolling. But seriously, Esposito and Ryan were actually respectful and never acted weird towards her, so she didn’t have to be “my eyes are up here oh my gosh” as much (except with Castle or people in questioning). Also, I’m pretty sure the short try to make the woman cop house a really too small outfit on to over sxualize the character, which I don’t see happening in the show (but I literally wouldn’t be looking or caring, so idk).
Okay but the “unlike your wife I actually _want_ to finish” line was actually such a good roast…🧍♀️ For anyone confused about the replies: My old pfp was a character from Good Omens:)
This is why I loved characters like Abbey and Garcia 🥺 unique women who smart at in their fields but COMPLEX Wish they would bring more of those types of characters back on screen not the same “badass not like other women, made to look more mean than everyone else but still gets her damsel in distress moment”
Every single crime drama with a female protagonist, their whole personality, life and story is about their work Even their co-workers tell them to chill😭
@@sarascarpati887 other than the Jane, probably Cho. I like how he’s serious about his job but is still willing to bend the rules for Jane on rare occasions :)
Castle's the best crime/mystery show out there and no one can change my mind. Beckett's so slay btw she's probably my favourite female character of all time. #caskettforever
Tbh, there's a lot of stigma for men and women alike who end up in jobs/industries that don't typically have much of their gender group in it. Been there. The over-stereotyping over every little action you make is real especially when you act or dress like a typical female or male at the job.
There is also the classic “I don’t need a man! 💅💅✨✨✨” Before anyone gets mad at me, it’s totally fine not wanting to have a partner. I’m just saying these “independent girlboss” women are always portrayed as disliking romance and rather cold and mean than… actually in-depth and independent.
I also realised that too many of those "badass female lead" were low-key super mean to their male counterparts (and for no good reasons most of the time). The funny thing is that when a guy gave them 1% of the same energy, they made a big deal of it.
Only detectives I like are the shy ones with hats who say "I'm not a very good detective" and then wipe the FLOOR with their exact recount of the events that happened which they know SO WELL that you're half convinced the detective was simply present at the scene of the murder
can’t forget how she’s single cuz every time she dates he always ends up being a deadbeat and her male counterpart tells her”maybe you’re just looking in the wrong places”
They want to show her this badass talented woman who doesn’t want her male colleagues only for her entire story later to be about her falling in love with the male colleague
Literally the ONLY woman dectective I can think of that is NOT like this is Jules from PSYCH (aka the best show ever). But she is partnered with a male cop/detective and they NEVER EVER look at eachother in a different way.
i feel like woman detectives in shows and movies are either badass, misogynistic, stereotypical, or just a bg character and they ALWAYS fall in love with someone 😭😭😭
