Working the power!! 💥 😃 I appreciate this workout SO much! When you say, “Power is something we lose as we get older…,” well, that’s me. I’m about twenty years older than you, so I can attest to your statement that we lose strength in our lower limbs as we age. We don’t have to accept that condition as inevitable, but, no question about it, it’s hard work to keep it at bay. If it wasn’t for you, I never would have done a workout like this one. I opted for the repeater knee instead of the toe tap, but I got off the ground in all the other exercises. So I’m speedier, and stronger, and more powerful! Ka-boom! Thanks, PJ!❤

PJ, will you be putting together a series on power workouts? I would definitely sign up for something like that. I've pretty much got strength training with dumbbells figured out having worked with a powerlifting coach before the pandemic. But I sure could use more power stuff. This workout was excellent! Thank you so much!

@@deborahshields729 Sorry, I don't own a barbell, so I will not be doing a powerlifting series. I will add more power training moves into the workouts, not powerlifting. Power training involves exercises that apply strength & speed. So, jump squats etc.

Day 2 - I sometimes get nervous when I see Cardio in the title but I love that we are working more than just cardio. Thank you for the mini me - it helps me push myself when needed but gives me something to fall back on when I have little left in the tank. The pep talk at the end was perfect timing. PJ- I am a newbie in the last few months and I look forward to your new (and older) workouts. Thank you.

Yet another awesome workout PJ, I was restricted by time this morning so I jumped ahead in the calendar to this workout. Got my power and my sweat on, loved it. Super sweaty today! But I powered up and even got into my peak heart rate for a bit! Appreciate your encouragement to listen to our bodies and also try adding in some of the impact moves to build strength and power. I found my knees hurt less using the chair for my squats, so I might be adding that modification more often!

I love your workouts. I especially like finding good strength workouts from trainers who know what they're doing. You not only provide that, but explain it all really well. For those out there who need a little music to help get through workouts like I do, put on a Christmas workout playlist in the background. Don't put it on too loud though because you want to still hear PJ😄

DAY 2 COMPLETE 💯✅ THAT WAS FUN calf's hate me right now 😅 but it was fun Heart rate up sweat on Love it amazing how no equipment needed workouts pack a punch The Tabata I had to put my feet on the bench for the mountain climbers just so my abs got a hit 😅 Cheers legend hope the low back gets better soon Steph 🇮🇪

OK, that got my heart racing. I had too many activities today, so I did Day 2 after 8 pm, but it was worth it. I will sleep well tonight. These types of challenges keep me motivated, especially at this time of the year when there is so much going on. Thanks PJ for keeping us interested.

I skipped this video last week...it was too intimidating for me. I continued with the other videos in order. Until today, thinking, "It won't kill me, right?" Well, it very nearly did. And I'm so glad that I at least decided to try. I took several mini breaks to catch my breath and give my quads a break from screaming. I'll continue the challenge in a week, after I return from visiting family. Happy holidays everyone!!

I was able to do the toe tap with hop this time around. Not as fast as you, but at a steady pace. 🔥 I appreciate the reasoning behind this workout. I need to keep the gauge on my body’s power meter high! Bpm max 151, bpm average 119. I’m following up with your 8-minute no-crunch abs workout. (Heart rate is back to normal. 😊) Thanks, PJ!❤

PJ, I think what I wrote wasn't clear enough. I'm not interested in powerlifting workouts because I know how to do all of that. I loved the way you did this particular workout focusing on power, something that has been lacking and all of my other training. So I was wondering if you would be putting together a program that is specifically about power? Like this particular video? It was excellent and made me realize I am not doing enough High Velocity movement. Your workout was wonderful and I would happily sign up for a series like this ❤

I cannot do mountain climbers due to my wrists. Is there a standing alternative? I did sta ding crunches during that time

Can you weight bear on your wrists if your hands are elevated on a chair? When elevated there is less body weight being applied to the arms and wrists. If not, a great workaround is a standing knee up, with dumbbells (as heavy as you can) above the head. Hold the dumbbells up, arms straight and drive one knee up, slight pause, lower the leg and then do the other leg. K?
