Hey Rob! I'm 15 and within a full year I got a couple suburbans for free that were junk, traded for a clean all original 100k mile 2000 Honda. Got a couple Silverados, and my 1971 f250 all out of my doing. I've started flipping cars and haven't invested a dime in it. Love the videos man keep it up!
brother, i used some of your technique back when i used to fix electronics. i used to be able to get folks in phones, financed with rougher credit than a gravel road. got one from wanting to get a screen fixed to buying three new macbook pros and two iphone 8s with all the bells and whistles. even got the phone fixed right with a new screen and the best case in the house. made my nut for the month off that one sell and i got to say, if i wouldnt have made him and his wife laugh and got down on their level it wouldnt be possible. thanks for giving me those tips.
I am more of a GM kind of guy, but once you get into those classics, I feel like the brand doesn’t matter as much. At that point you just have to put bias aside and appreciate the Lines on some of those cars. On a sidenote, people could be surprised at how much fun you can have with a tater tot. #RabbitForWorldPresident

I had a torino gt in high school,in later years have owned many more,including 4 doors,the thing is when u are driving it u are looking out over the same hood,glancing at the same dash etc,and it takes me back to 1970 all over again,so at a cheaper price,u get the same vibe ,
When I was 16 I had a 67 ford Custom, basically it was a 4 door Galaxies with a 240 straight six and a three on the tree. Loved that car, all the room in the front seat for cuddling, easy access to the back and a thousand dollar trunk ;)

I wasn't made in one of those, Dad didn't have a '55 ford until I was in Kindergarten. The possibility does exist I was conceived in the back of a '49 Studebaker or a '52 Packard Convertible, or maybe a '53 DeSoto if dad had loaned the Studie to Uncle David and borrowed Grandpa's DeSoto. The DeSoto had a Hemi in it, Dad did better at the stop lights with the DeSoto.
Watched Mecum over the weekend and they had a lot of older cars in great shape. When you look at a 57 Chevy compared to the 57 Ford, what a difference. The Ford was low and wide with a larger displacement engine but they apparently didn't sell as well. Not too many around today by comparison.
At the end of the day a 2 door is always cooler BUT I do have a 4 door 60 caddy I am building and best part for me is i don’t worry about scratching it, I don’t worry about chopping it up a bit, slamming it, putting some badass wheels on it etc. gets just as many thumbs ups and looks and all for about 10% of the price of a 2 door haha. One day I’ll have the 2 door, but for now i am having a blast with a 4
Back in my boy racer days (circa y2k) thre was the cool kids in their 20’s with the gsi, gti, sri, xr, with 16/17” aftermarkets, then the rest of us 17/18 with 1.2,1.3L 4dr oem 15”s. We always did the bigger burnouts and drove um harder. 👍🇬🇧👍
I saw a clean corvette on the street the other day, during the 5 minutes of dry weather we had, the custom license plate said "Go wash" .... I drove behind him for a few minutes and he pulled into a trailer park... I screamed "IT'S RABBIT!!!"
His talk about "Tater Tot" reminded me of a time way back when when I was in college, I was at the bowling alley with a friend, and these two girls were trying to pick us up. I was pretty clueless and they were obvious enough that I still knew what they wanted. And my buddy, who was driving, put the kibosh to the whole idea. Still think about that missed opportunity from time to time. :D
I have a cousin who is just like Rabbit except for he makes a living selling guns, knives, cars, trucks, news tires to moving a semi load of new dishwashers and microwaves, heck he has even sold washing detergent but he loves meeting new people
I'd rather have a nice 4 door than a wreck of a 2 door for the same money. Some cars I even like a little better as a 4 door. A 59-60 GM 4 door car with the flat top and wrap-around rear window is on another level of cool. Bucket list car for sure.
In our neck of the woods (mine and Rob's) many have enclosed trailers (which by themselves weigh 3-4k lbs) with 1-2 zero turns in them, and trimmers, and gas cans, maybe shovels and rakes, etc. 18 ft enclosed with stuff in it isn't exactly light. But yes, there are some that have utility trailers and 1 mower and think they need a lifted F250 for that.
I used to haul a cargo trailer with 2 riding lawnmowers and other little crap with a 2 wheel drive Chevy S10 4.3 with no problems, and we got some big hills here in Northeast PA. I upgraded the brakes and that's all. Rest of the truck was factory. Stock clutch even. I don't need a big truck because of a small d!ck issue😅
Those four-door hot rod prices are starting to creep up there and everybody better watch out because I have a feeling that they are all of a sudden going to be fairly comparable to the two doors before you know it.
Personally I see the 4 door Impala, Malibu, Chevelle’s all booming here real soon. If you stance them just right on big chrome they can hang right there with the 2 doors

The problem with 4 door cars is you don't get the same return on your money that you invest in it. You can take a 2 door and spend 20k on it and you can get that back and then some. You put the same 20k into a 4 door, and it's now worth 5k more than what you paid for the car. That said, some of my cars are 4 doors, 96 impala and 03 marauder for example
I find this funny because I actually like four doors more because I like big cars and you can have your friends easily hop in the back. I want a ford falcon sedan rather than the coupe.
Hey nothing beats handing someone their ass in a race when you are driving a 4 door. Last I checked the number of entry / exit portals had nothing to do with how badass the engine is. We called them sleepers not sure what the modern term is.
Rob, You need to give your audio guy or editor a swift kick in the nuts. This is like the 4th or 5th video that has the audio crackling and cutting out during the outtakes.

50s, 60s, two tone paint and two tone interiors had class and style things are built now look cheap. I guess that's why people are restoring old stuff like appliances, bikes, tools, radios,and so on.
