When the old navy in town remodeled they gave the store truck to the managers husband. He got it for free. You’re the only person I’ve ever seen that knew about the old navy trucks. That body is my dream vehicle. The cursive Chevrolet and push button door handles along with the lines of the fenders is just sexy as hell to me.

Man I use to hate carburetors and almost always went towards fuel injected motors but now that I'm little older I lean towards less technology and good old American cars are not technical hardly at all. Love the channel.

I love seeing older trucks like this that still have the remnants of an old sign when the truck was a work truck. Chevy, GMC, Dodge, Ford....it doesn't matter to me. The writing on the door, bed, sides, hood, whatever....as you say, it tells a story. And I'll take an older anything over anything current.....hands down.

Good looking truck, is a good looking truck, eye pleasing, be the words, true part most of us could never afford them now, kids n grandbabies 2, tend 2, but I thank u, 4, showing me this cool truck. It's not old, r wore out, it's like me, still hitting a lick every chance it gets.

First off, thank you for the comment about Ford trucks. Someone needs to dispel the myth that the Ford has been the be-all, end-all of pickups since day one. I actually have a buddy that is doing an old Apache right now (and I mean it is regularly being brought back to life, not sitting in a field with the weeds growing up around it). You definitely end up with a unique truck, but finding most of the parts is always a headache. Good thing about doing a C-10, you can pretty much order everything you want out of a catalog. Appreciate the video, always entertaining.

i live in saudi arabia. they just built the first old navy there 2 years ago. i walked in and saw a late 40s chevy truck in the middle of the store. i didnt know all old navys had a truck inside the store

47-55 and a 1/2 54-55.5 was the bull nose grill and one piece windshield 52-55.5 was the push button door handles 54 was the first year of the 235ci also...if I remember correctly. I've drank since I learned about them...jus sayin lol

I know a contractor in my small hometown in Iowa that still uses one of these as his work truck year round.

got a clean fully loaded 5 speed 93 mark 3 step side short bed, ground effects that whole deal and offset wheels all around, aftermarket aluminum rims 285's lol slightly raked, it sits mean looking af, like a pit bull ....got to love old chevy's

I had a 48 gmc that was my grandads. Had to sell it when I got in a pinch. Then I lost my 54 Chevy when my barn burned. I guess I wasn't meant to have one. Ugh. I miss my grandads.

I'm from Dillon MT, when I was in highschool, my friend had a purple/magenta one! It was 4wd and he put plates on it read: HOOPTIE 😆 one sweet ride.

Awesome truck. Can't go wrong with a big block in it. Real deal, has stood the test of time patina is cool. Trying to convert a rig into a patina ride is not cool. It needs mother nature's time and touch to it. My 1955 vw pickup truck was drug out of the woods after several decades and was still in good enough condition that it could be put back on the road without messing up the look. A painting company in Oregon owned it long ago , so it has very cool faded logos on the sides, even has the address. In the corner on the front doors they painted No.3, and I'm like "wow where are the other ones at?". Having more than one from the fleet would be kick ass. Patina has to be a certain way or it doesn't look good. A lot of old farm trucks have that cool look.

Hey Rob, maybe one of these days, you should do an RUC shop truck with a early 50s Chevy. It would be cool to do the doors with the hand lettered "Rabbit's Used Cars" across the top, with "#BR-549" across the bottom. That would be an attention grabber, to say the least! 🇺🇸🇺🇸 🐇

I keep my ol' sweetie as is so the kids can touch what their grandpa touched... the great-grandkids will be next !

Most malls have a special door on ground level that they can drive a car into the mall. The doors will be like the sideways sliding glass but it will slide onto a swing door that is locked in place ether by locks or bolts. And can open up for renovation or emergency. When you can get to a mall look at the doors.

They still got one in the old navy by my place. I worked building fatburger restaurants years back and we put one 15 feet up and suspended it from the ceiling.

I don't mind honest patina, but the guys that paint on rust and such drive me crazy. This one is kind of a sleeper..

Legit, earned patina = cool. Spending more time to fake it than it would to put a slick paint job on it = lame. Gloss clear over rust and calling it patina = horrendous.
