Immy Atp No the comment meant , Tasha only called him by the name “Ghost” and not his actual name “Jamie” whereas Angela always called him “Jamie”. Which means Tasha only saw him as a drug dealer ( a source of income ) and not someone she really loves.
Angela wanted the best for ghost. Tasha only saw him as a drug dealer. Angela sacrificed her own life to save ghost and Tasha got her own son to kill his dad.
@@taviarawlins4161 He was angry at Ghost he didn’t hate him yet he started to hate him when Ghost wouldn’t teach him the game but if we being honest Tariq had no reason to wanna be in the game he grew up downtown in nyc was rich it was no reason for him to be a drug dealer
This scene is the reason why I hate Tasha’s new found level of self-righteousness. If she had just listened to what Ghost was telling her, they would still have 3 living children.
From the moment she said the thing about wanting him to be the biggest drug dealer in NYC, she lost me. She wanted to the guy from the hood while Ghost wanted to be the guy who could have gone to business school if it was not for that life like he told Kanan
People forget how bad ghost wanted to get out, and kept getting dragged back into the shit. Yea he left her for Angela, but if people actually listened to ghost back then, things wouldn’t be so messed up now.
The truth is Ghost was never going to be out. He couldn’t accept it and kept controlling those around him to make his “future” a reality. He wasn’t listening to those around him. There could’ve been a way for them all to co-exist but Ghost wanted it to be HIS way and HIS future for them.
Black women hated Angela but ignore this scene all day. HE TOLD HER his dreams and she aint support him...how tf else was he supposed to react???? Tasha wanted the drug life...Ghost didnt.
The Cunningham's Family of Six 💯 Tasha didn’t want him to go legit but she cheated on him with 3 “squares” that weren’t in the dope game at all! She used Shawn to try to KILL Ghost and used Terry Silver to get him locked up!! No surprise when she Tells Tommy “not yet (kill Ghost)” in Season 6. Female fans get pissed at Ghost in Episode 10 when he says, “I release you from this Marriage Tasha.” Why?! Why get pissed at him when you KNOW that she’s been trying to kill him the whole time since this scene up top? Smh boyyyyy I tell ya! 😅🥴
@tuckfrump .. don’t speak for black women. Anyone would dislike the other woman. Tasha should have supported her man and if their vision isn’t the same anymore they should have ended it gracefully
Tasha is very selfish. He clearly had other ambitions that he wanted to pursue and she wouldn’t let him do that. No wife should ever do that to her husband. She should have supported him no matter what he wanted to and then maybe reina would still be alive. Angela understood that and wanted him to be the best man he could possible be. That is true love period.
U could tell FROM THE JUMP ANGIE was his true love. He SETTLED for Tasha. Angie CARED an LISTENED Called him Jamie. Loved his Kids Pushed him to be a BETTER MAN. EVEN TAUGHT HIM SPANISH 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. What Tasha do 🤨NOTHIN
Remember Tasha wanted a ride or die chick. Tasha and James met when they were kids. James was driving on the highway. The police pulled him over Tasha of course in the car, she hid the gun in the car for him. The police search the car but not Tasha. Days later James bought her an engagement ring. Season 1💍 🚔 😳 and
At the end of the day Angela took a bullet and died for ghost willing to risk her job by not betraying him! Tasha wouldn’t have done that now she’s trying to kill him
AmericaThen nah, there are plenty of people who are well known in the drug game who managed to get out. Nobody even knew his real name, all he had to do (which he did) was cut the loose ends and let someone else take over(tommy). But his own wife and best friend dragged him back into it. If he didnt consider Tommy as his best friend/brother then he could have killed him to cut that last tie back to him and let the next big gang take his territory.
I don’t condone Ghost’s infidelity, but this does put it into context. I can’t imagine anyone with a sober mind and common sense wanting to spend the rest of their life looking over their shoulder no matter how lucrative it may be and continually inviting the possible of things going awry on their family to boot. And the way Tasha acted, you’d think they’d be destitute if Ghost stopped being a criminal. They’d have still been rich, just temporarily not as rich. For all his other failings, Ghost still saw the big picture, Tasha just plain refused to.
@@brandonoats3493 yes bro the very first episode she was playing with her self in the back of the car while Shawn was there and she knew he was watching. This was way before ghost and Angela started getting together.
See the writers totally forgot that Tasha was the main one pushing ghost to stay dirty but then all of a sudden ghost drugged her into that life he ruined her life, She’s the victim, oh woe is me I never wanted to be with a drug dealer. They totally forgot that she wanted all that first season then turned her into a victim trying to get out of that lifestyle..
This was a crab in the bucket scene! A man who wanted to better himself and grow as an individual. But had a stupid wife and a short minded Tommy who wanted him to stay the same. Sad, people hate to see you grow and do better for yourself.
This was the main reason I was Team Angela. Ghost was not a saint, of course. But he wanted to do better, to be better. He wanted out. He wanted legitimacy. He wanted his family with him. Tasha not even caring to see his side of things was the nail in the coffin. People need to remember, until Angela, Ghost had been a faithful husband for the entirety of their marriage. Never cheated. They said that in like, episode 1 or 2 (he was talking with Tommy about having seen Angela at the club). Tasha pushed him away. I wonder what might have happened had she even tried to see things from his perspective. The fucked up part? After season 4 or so, she was thinking she wanted out herself! How about her two boyfriends? She wanted to go legit for them but not Ghost. Smh. I blame Kemp for that writing, it got way too personal imo.
You spot on, I very disappointed for the same reasons you mentioned.During one of the power confidential she mentioned her dad as being ghost. Her relationship with her dad had a lot to do with the ending of ghost. She was always said she liked Tasha’s character.
Tasha not even caring to see his side of the things was the nail in the coffin huh??? What was HIS plan again? sell drugs, make money, enough money to open clubs and businesses then go legitimate, leave the game and go clean right? All that is HIS plan, not his family's, not Tasha's, not Tommy's, all His plans and he did not give one fuck about what everyone else wanted, their dreams! Tasha wanted to be a singer, she was good at school too and could have studied further and had a honest job but guess what happened? she ended up cooking the books for Ghost, he most definitely manipulated her into doing that, and after all that, he wants to just go clean, leave the woman that he got fucked up for his high school sweetheart...the funny part is, Tasha did let Ghost have Angela, she gave him and Angela the kids too which meant that she was ready to accept whatever that was but yall are not ready to talk about that
@@vincentvries9854everyone has to fend for themselves. If she wanted to be a singer why didn’t she? Ghost doesn’t control her. Ghost didn’t make Tommy get in that life. Ghost is not God lol. I don’t think anybody is gonna sit here and argue that he’s a good person, but he’s also not responsible for anyone other than himself and his children, the other two adults made their choices. He started the plan and wanted to end it, Tasha wanted it to keep going, and we all saw how that played out huh.
@@Nandoswitharando Ghost is manipulative. You literally saw how Power ended. The things he said to Tariq, Councilman Tate, Tasha, Tommy, everyone that was gunning for him was because of his manipulation tactics, he was good. He def forced people to do all the shit, remember what happened to Tommy's redhead girlfriend? Remember Tommy's father? Angel was the one that fell badly for him, honest women and she broke rules for him because he knew that she would do anything for him...but of course, nothing is always his fault, always everyone else to blame right?
Ghost won this Argument he wanted to change she didn't and wanted them to keep Trapping. I hate how Darkskinned Women are negatively portrayed on media.
This is the episode when me start hate Tasha.....she just show herself as another narrow minded street thug just like breeze and kanan....that’s why ghost had to kill one and sent the other to prison. limited vision of a woman kills any type of man.
Outside of Ghost, Tasha has tried to manipulate every guy she's fallen in love with. She manipulated Shawn and Terry, and everything says she's going to manipulate Q. Also, when Tasha was with Terry she sounded a lot like Ghost in this scene, like she wanted to leave the game, but what ended up happening was once Terry died, she went back to what she knew, even dragging Tariq into it.
This why Angela was always the best option. She just wanted Ghost happy man Tasha wanted him to risk his life so he can continue giving her what she wanted never marry a Tasha
Actually at that point Tasha was hanging on by a thread when Angela came around, Ghost tried to save the marriage by giving her one last shot to go legit with him in this very scene but once he saw that Tasha didn't want out of the life that was the end for her & Ghost
This is great character development because I was down for Tasha until she started showing who she really was. I believe Angie truly loved Ghost while Tasha was just infatuated with the lifestyle of being a top kingpin’s wife. The power, the money, and the feeling you can’t be touched.
If your not rolling you eyes at this fool Of a woman. She’s the Product of the streets/ her environment and her simple mind couldn’t see anything other than that life. She failed multiple times to see how her man was screaming. . No Shouting to be more. For someone to BELIEVE he could BE MORE. That is what he needed and Tasha wanted to remain everything she was. This is why her son is a product of her when his father wanted more.
I’ve always said, This is where she lost him. Angela never should have stood a chance. She believed in Jamie’s dream and future. Tasha just wanted to keep that lifestyle.
I think this is the moment Ghost lost all hope in Tasha. He was trying to say B this shit ain't gonna work forever so let's think clever and have a escape plan but Tasha was blinded by the bling bling and life style. She never wanted to leave that shit..
Exactly. That's why I rooted for Angela and ghost instead of Tasha's ignorant blind ass. 😂🤣The woman does not think long-term nor does she understand the risk that she's putting ghost in.
and people really have the audacity to criticize this man when this foolish woman told him that he can’t be anything more than a drug dealer. I would’ve cheated on her too, FOH.
Ghost didn't care how good he was at that life. He wanted out. Tasha wanted to keep it moving. Angela wanted what ghost wanted. They had the same dream. Where i'm from they call that a soul mate.
If Tasha told him to get out the life in this scene he would’ve left Angela behind imo...he went to Angela because she was the only one who saw past him being Ghost that’s the reason he went back to her so many times, yes he loved her but that’s what made her so special to him Tasha could’ve had that level of love because of her supporting his dream and being the mother of his child he would’ve never gave Angie a second look after that imo
I believe you are right. If Tasha was supportive of his dreams they could've been a happy family. As much as he loved Angela, she was still his mistress at the end of the day.
Ghost did Tasha dirty as hell throughout the entire show, and I’m not justifying any of what he did, but this scene is the reason why these two never were gonna work out. Angie was his dream girl and she represented the life he wanted but could never have. Very tragic
That's when tasha lost me completely too .. ghost was the better Parent to be honest .. it's just crazy how they wrote Tariq to hate his dad when his mom never had his best interest at heart like ghost did. She was always focused on the money
She played the biggest role, with why Ghost is dead ! Tommy wants her dead , they lost a daughter, and there son is the way he is because of her not growing up. Since power 1st started all ghost did was try to get out the game and she steady tried to keep him in it....
yall have to remember this is female nature. they love the bad boy, as soon as ghost wanted to change for the better she basically considered that simping. tasha wanted that emotional roller coaster by ghost staying in the game
@Damien Jones her character clearly said that ghost made her quit accounting school to care for the kids ?how is that not pushing someone to quit their dreams ? His character never wanted us to be spiritually smart to be able to control her yet wanted her to change and be more emancipated when he was ready to get out the game.
If it's female nature then why did Angie want better for him? Why was Angie proud of him and his club? I think this is THAT females nature.. not to be blanketed onto all females cause we're not all like Tasha.. she's small minded and selfish..
How quickly we forget all of this.. i was never a fan of Tasha because of this exact thing. That man tried so hard to distance himself from the drug life and he wanted Tasha and his kids along for the ride. Tasha blantantly and more than 1 occasion refused to live normal. Now that man dead because he almost succeeded at his dream. Damn aint life a b......
If he never met Angela, he would still be alive. If Angela never visited the club, then ghost would still be alive. Her being back in his life lead to all these chain of events including his death.Butter fly effect is a scary thang!
People seem to forget that Tasha was in the trenches with him when he started out he didn’t have no end game so she always thought he was gonna be a drug dealer and then soon as Angela came in the picture he wanted to change
Nah when he asked Tasha when they met what she thought he would become and she said the biggest drug dealer in nyc. Angela had just told him she always knew he could be anything he wanted
To be fair Tasha never fully had Ghost he settled for her. But clear as day Angela was the love of his life. She was the only one to see to actually see him for him. Tasha belonged to the streets.
man, I amglad you shared this man, I was tellin other people of the show about this part, but you know people dont remember nothing past last week. So,they dont remember this scene at all.
I didn't a reminder on that one. From the first time he talked to her about going legit, I knew there was gonna be another woman and this just confirmed everything
So many people need to go back and see episode 1, they forget this scene right here! The look on ghost face said it all. You can tell he rocked with Angie so much harder because she saw more to him than just drug dealing and killing, what man wouldn’t rock with that. Tash deadass wanted him to die live and die in the game.
Y’all talking bullshit in the comments “Tasha called him ghost Angela called him Jamie “ REGARDLESS he SHOULDNT have cheated on his wife period …if he didn’t want her she should’ve told her that …Y’all justifying his shit
You gotta feel for Ghost a lil bit, yhhh he’s done people dirty, he has snitched etc but in da near beginning he wants to be legit, he wanted out of the life as he knew the game that he was in is a young man’s sport, you won’t last long. He was actually thinking clearly but people kept pulling him back in. Had they let Ghost do his thing, they wouldn’t be in this situation now. Angela was the only one in his wavelength which is why is not a surprise tasha lost him to her. She was like a breath of fresh air to him.
True, but if he never met Angela, he would still be alive. If Angela never visited the club, then ghost would still be alive. Her being back in his life lead to all these chain of events including his death.Butter fly effect is a scary thang!
@@AmarjeetSingh-pw9jx nah i wouldn’t say her coming back lead to his death. Ghost died because he underestimated what Tariq was capable of. He never accepted who Tariq really was and still saw him as a harmless kid who just went through phases when he was in the scene when Tariq killed Ray Ray. Him x Tasha failed to discipline him and he spiralled out of control, plus ghost kept lying to him aswell. Tariq’s rebellious behaviour had nothing to do with Angela, he just wanted some honesty. Angela’s presence may be a little catalyst to Ghost’s demise but its not the sole reason as to why he died. Tasha accepted tariq for what he was and she’s still alive today. It was just all Ghost’s wrongdoing.
@@antz97 think about it this way, if Angela never came back, then Tariq would never misbehave and wouldn’t deal drugs.Angela never knew who ghost was until Jamie reunited with Angela and then recognised Tommy’s voice in the undercover tape from her criminal informant.Because no one knew who ghost was, Tommy would never get arrested if it wasn’t for her recognising Tommy’s voice, and this was because of the recent experience (in the cafe when he visits them) from that experience, that’s how she recognised his voice.Without Angela, ghost would be alive.I’m right, your wrong.
He wanted to put the criminal life behind them, she said no. Point blank, no. Angela believed in the good in him, Tasha wanted him to be a bad ass for her. When when criminal shit hit the fan, the writers made her a martyr. This is why I've always been anti-Tasha.
Yeah, Tasha was wild. She should’ve just believed in him and let it go. He wanted to get out, just support him that. Say your peace and why you’re afraid of not being stable and then let it go
Barrack Bananas She’s not dumb, she’s linear. Akin to one track minded. Girl had plenty game herself. Enough mental to execute on several, levels with the proper training and guidance.
Naturi's acting was so much better in earlier seasons when she wasn't using the cringey-ass facial expressions and her actual mannerisms and tones as well. 🙏🏾
We’re so invested in this show, I love it. So many great discussions in this comment thread. The fact that this is all not real, but we know so much. Power is great. And I feel like councilman Tate has been running for governor my whole life 😂😂😂 like he hasn’t won yet!
Anyone who has to say they're smart, isn't very smart. Tasha really thought Ghost could survive the drug game unlike everyone else and that's why everyone else lost. They thought they were special.
Damn trying to remember which episode was this. This was season 1 but Tasha should've listened to ghost then. Now she regrets it her ass in protective custody now🤣
I keep trying tell people he left her because she only seen him as a drug dealer. She never cared about any other potential he had. To be honest that’s a low blow.
