KineMaster and PowerDirector are two of the most popular and reliable, full-featured video-editing apps available for Android smartphones. And they are special in that they both operate in full landscape mode, which takes advantage of all the screen real estate of your smartphone.
I've used both extensively (for basic video editing), and in this 3-part video series, I do an in-depth comparison between them based on simple usability.
Both apps are feature-rich and offer some sophisticated editing tools, but this comparison sets those aside and looks instead at simple features, such as the UI and basic editing tools.
I organized my comparison into 6 categories. I cover categories 1-3 in Part 1, categories 4-5 in Part 2, and a special bonus category in Part 3:
PART 1:
1. Selecting files to add to the project.
2. Previewing files
3. Main editing screen display
PART 2:
4. Navigating the editing screen and settings
5. Editing tools and features
PART 3:
6. Locking layers
Which is best for you? PowerDirector or KineMaster?
I think that even if you don't use either application and have no plans to do so, you still might find these videos interesting. I say that because I cover a lot of the basic features a video editing app could and should have, and this might help you understand other video-editing apps better and see how they compare.
