As i have ask before, please take us racing with you. I might be a pain but I'm know i would enjoy watching and I'm sure you would get more subs. Thanks guys.
I would love to hear your thoughts on fluid types. What do you fill trans with? I'd also love to hear your take on trans maintenance and how to best drive and maintain to make it last!
that dip stick looks long, could it be he doesn't have enough fluid in pan ? (short tube, dip stick to long pushing stick into pan to lock stick in tube, thus reading full when it might be half full)
Call up mikes transmission, out in palmDale California, his rules the powerglide west, 10.000 hp top fuel tested, he has the tricks,, thanks BigAl California.
Wonder if his linkage is off from shifter to trans , Vibration moving cable back and forth??? I know everyone is an expert 😂 Always great videos Richard!
Richard I saw on a video and thought it was a great idea to do on all valves. Put it in a drill and spin it. If it's not perfectly strait like a valve in a engine that's gonna be an issue. The trans was a 400 and didn't have 3rd gear. It was the long valve in the pump where the pressure regulator valve is. In the drill it wasn't straight. Looked straight to the eye but got stuck .
Thanks Richard and the gang. Has to be in the valve body if it’s a shifting problem, right? Would it do that if a spring was too strong for 1-2 shift and at low rpm the pump wouldn’t be making enough pressure to overcome the spring 100%. Making the valve bounce?
Hmmm, I watched a "How to " video on disassembling a Powerglide, they pulled just a few bolts and bam, the whole thing was laid out on the bench and no fluid. Thanks for posting this, good to see a real teardown video.
Was wondering if I could run stock valve body but don’t use the throttle valve or kick down however you wanna call it for the powerglide or do I have to block that valve for it to work I only need 1st and reverse for derby car
Richard you have great videos on the fca gm and ford trannies when are you planning on a video on the automatic transmission that’s in the Nissan titan with the 5.0 Cummins that I hear there’s no parts available for short of buying a complete dealer new transmission or do you have a after market supplier for those parts
On these new vehicles, how hard would it be to put a drain plug in the torque converter? That’s what I liked about my old Mopar from way way back when you could drain the torque converter too anyway this is six in a row.Jim from Kennerdell PA
Really good to see Cody back. He went above and beyond for me at Precision and i appreciated it very much! 😎👍 Greetings from sunny and hot Eastern Washington.
good morning. when I did transmissions the powerglide had manual shaft that always needed to be adjusted by bending the actuating lever. I did not see you check the manual valve end for adjustment. Just a thought 😀
@@richardteresacricheducatio3542 thank you for such a nice reply I just love watching your video's since i got too old to crawl around and remove transmissions so I can rebuild them and I stopped after the 4 speeds. Thank you for continuing on since you closed your shop.
