It takes time for a turbo to spool and build boost .... While you are waiting for the green light you should have the engine reving as high as it can before the clutch engages so it's already into the boost when you crack on it lol some ppl don't know how boost works
This looked like a total BLAST !!! Now that's what I call a good fucking time! Good on you boys! I wish we had a hill drags like that, more challaging.John Shane (Mad Scientist) ,Kealy (The Turbo King) , Ryan (Flying Freeride Freak) & What's his pickle (On the IQR) ,Oh ya (Sinister Simon) & where's Louie? Oh, I know... in that crowd at the end with the fist's flying over that (Shellborne Fuel) again. What a guy Louie is fighting for what he beleaves in again, good for you Louie! Just kidding... Ha .Wish I could of been there! Thanks Louie for this COOL showing . Quinn.
That R1 Turbo is too far from the engine, you need to get that Turbo as close as possible to the engine, you will have A lot less turbo lag, another words it will spool up faster....
Turns out the reeds detonated the night before the races when we packed up and it was only getting 7000rpm. I managed to get good starts off the line but it wasn't enough to get the win, respectable considering it was 1400rpm short! Can't wait until next season :)
You only sandbag if you can pull off a win by sucking people in - we legitimately had sleds that were broken or ran like crap, lol. the rx1 was put together the night before and didnt get to run with the turbo until race day, the iqr had a broken reed and the REV 827 was placed in open mod where it had to compete with big power sleds. No sandbagging, just typical for us - always leaving things to the last minute. Thanks for watching!
Oh...see I didn't know that and I know u guys buy used (kinda junky) sleds for a reason. But they should still give some strong competition. And not just the RX1 but the 827 & IQR too. But I feel ya and have been there before! Haha!
