Thank you for your video. One of your points echoes what my ENT said to me, that those that strive hardest to heal, heal last x

Agreed. Healing isn't something you can force or rush, and in actual fact just leaning into your body and responding to your needs with kindness and compassion is so much more powerful. How we respond in the moment is much more effective than the rigorous routines that others put upon themselves.

Hi Emma, thank you , this is really helpful and positive !!! Do you have any tips for when I'm going for walks or going into shops, as i have marshmallow walking and feel really disorientated ❤
@balanceyourlifenow1651
@balanceyourlifenow1651 11 месяцев назад
Grounding exercises so feeling your feet/ lower legs, being mindful and present so noticing your breath, heart, different body parts. Try to notice what parts of your body feel more how you want to feel. Also work on any anxiety and of course don't stop going to the shops keep going so your brain can habituate and get used to that environment again

Hi, Emma! It’s Rita, again. If you recall, I started “dieting” on April 1st & started Heavy Metal Detox on April 15th along with reading Brain Smart. At my recent visit with my PCP, although I lost 7lbs my A1C went from 5.7 to 6.0 I was wondering if this increase may be caused by the daily HMD Smoothie. What do you think? Appreciate your input. Hello, I think alot of it can be to do with when you are away you are not focusing on symptoms as much, or maybe you are doing enjoyable things so you are distracted. It could possibly be that you are away from stress, and finally I think if there are places that you go to back home regularly where you feel dizzy this could be a nervous system response keeping you on high alert feeling dizzy/ anxious because it's associating bad memories/ fear of safety in these particular places. That's my best guess based on the fact I don't know you ☺️

Hi Emma I just want to ask you that I have just started working full time so are there any tips for me from your experience and after how long since your diagnosis you started working. Because there is so much negativity on the internet about managing pppd with work. Thank you❤ Love from India ❤
@balanceyourlifenow1651
@balanceyourlifenow1651 11 месяцев назад
Hi, well done for getting back to work! What work will you be doing as that makes a difference to the advice i would give? In general I would say to take lots of small breaks throughout your day. Speak with your employer and let them know your situation so they can support you as best they can. If using computer screens consider a privacy screen or turning the brightness down. Focus on feeling calm at work, try not to get stressed out. The calmer you are the better you will feel. Hope that helps! ❤️

Hello, I have been feeling off balance, pressure in my head, heart palpitations, shortness of breath and lightheaded for 4 weeks now. I have had an MRI, ECG, various blood tests, blood pressure checks etc etc etc. I have tried various medications and nothing has worked. Doing my own research on the Internet I came across PPPD and started to associate with the listed symptoms, especially going into a shop and having light sensitivity. I am an anxious person and have been diagnosed with GAD in the past. I’m now starting to worry that the doctors are not going to understand me or are able to give me a diagnosis. Does this sound familiar to you?
@balanceyourlifenow1651
@balanceyourlifenow1651 8 месяцев назад
Oh it sounds all too familiar to me, yes. Please try not to panic at this stage. Lots of people can have these symptoms and they often resolve by themselves within 3 months. It's crucially important to stay calm and work on calming your nervous system. Panic and anxiety is really not helpful. Plenty of rest, meditations and positive affirmations could help you. Id honestly urge you to stay off the internet and trying to "self diagnose". You will only find horror stories and trick yourself into believing that you're going to have the worst case scenario. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people and really be kind to yourself. I'm here if you have any other questions ❤️

@balanceyourlifenow1651
@balanceyourlifenow1651 10 месяцев назад
Focus on calming down and letting whatever symptoms are there just "be". The less we focus on them or stress about them actually weakness them as we notice it less. Also grounding exercises and VRT can help some people to help create a new felt sense of steadiness

Please reply, only you can... I am a PhD doctor, 42 years old male, married with one baby. Taking care of a family. I have had vertigo like condition plus brain pressure, increased heart beat, for two years. I had a stroke like attack two years ago and this condition started. It started due to extreme stress and anxiety while pursuing PhD, job, family and toxic relationships. I took tests and what not, all negative. Currently taking heart medication and SSRI as prescribed by doctors. I am 70 to 80 percent better as Compared to when it started. Madam, will I recover one hundred percent 100: with rest, medication, EMDR, yoga and exercise and healthy food?

I would never recommend because I'm not qualified and I don't know you. The research suggests SSRIs and SNRIs can be helpful for PPPD/ anxiety. However I do not believe medication is always necessary. I got better without it. That doesn't mean I'm either for or against it, just trying to give you some information. Please look for a doctor that treats chronic symptoms through pain reprocessing therapy or Nueroplastic pain therapy! I see dr. Stracks in Chicago and I’ve almost made a full recovery. Someone that can lead you through all these steps through a detailed program in groups or on the individual basis. It has the word pain in it but the steps are the same.
