Hi Emma, I stumbled upon your channel. I’ve been experiencing same symptoms for three months now. For me it’s eye issues. I really appreciate your advice and experience with PPPD, it’s very helpful. You give people comfort and hope.

Thank you for sharing thisy. This is very helpful. As time goes by and the more I understand my illness pppd, i think I am feeling much better now unlike those times when I do not yet understand my sickness.

I very much appreciate you. Have a PPPD diagnosis. Symptoms started after a significant fall a few months ago. My anxiety was well within normal or less before this. I travel a lot for work, I have started to use a walker for independence and a wheelchair in the airport. Also doing PT. Your opinion: using the aids- do you think I maybe hindering progress?

When my dizziness is bad, I use the motor chair at wal mart I feel much better.

Do you experience worse symptoms with fast head movement? Also physical exertion seems to make me feel faint. I tried picking up something weighing 150lbs and felt extremely light headed afterwards.

For me it was always the opposite, I felt worse sat still or while walking outside. I could run/ play sports with little to no problems. But that's because each of us with pppd have different experiences, different triggers etc. Its normal to feel light headed when picking up something heavy, it's likely you're just a little more sensitive to it and the changes in blood pressure.

Thank you! I’ve been diagnosed with this for 2.5 years. My biggest issue is with my eyes making me feel dizzy. Did you ever have any vision issues?

Hey 😊 yes vision issues were one of my biggest concerns. Have you had your eyes checked? I found sunglasses helped outside, and privacy screens for computers as well as tinted glasses. I had a lot of light sensitivity and things like eye floaters, basically like i was straining my eyes a lot.

@@balanceyourlifenow1651 exactly how I feel! Lots of floaters and constant eye strain. I’ve had my eyes checked and they are fine. I can see but it feels weird and “off”. I also deal with some of the glass wall vision. Are your eyes ok now? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Good to hear your eyes are all OK, mine were too. It can be quite frustrating when the tests are normal but you still dont feel right, can't it 😕 the glass wall vision is common. Maybe you can try some grounding exercises, to start to feel more connected to your body. Have you tried any meditation.? thats very good for mindfulness and being present, feeling back into your body etc. I know that might seem strange but you need to feel connected to what you're experiencing. Lots of breaks from computers, phones etc or things that trigger you and cause you to strain your eyes. Eyes closed exercises are also good even if just meditating sat up tall relaxing into your body. Hope that helps 🙏🏼🙂

Hi Emma did the doctors suggest an antidepressant for your recovery?

No they never. I was reluctant to take medication. I was offered migraine tablets which made symptoms worse. And also SSRIs which I never took. I've heard mixed reviews on medication. Work with your Doctors to see what's the right choice for you

Did you ever feel faint while walking and like you just couldn't do it even with normal blood pressure? I have been to specialist and doctors and they all say it's just panic. But it feels like constantly faint and dizziness that doesn't go away I'm even afraid to shower or walk to the bathroom

Are you afraid of feeling faint? Does it make you panic? It could well be anxiety that's the trigger making it worse. I felt lightheaded and had moments when I thought I would faint but for me I think it was the anxiety. We all describe our symptoms differently though, the key is to learn not to be afraid of them

@@balanceyourlifenow1651 I get like a floating sensation as if my body is weightless then I start to panic and get sensitive to touch and everything and it's hard to walk because of dizziness

Hi. Did you get better? Im experiencing this too. I enjoy taking long showers before but because of my fear/anxiety, i only shower for a couple of minutes and then run to get dressed.

Try to stop worrying about the past and the future. Focus on the hear and now. How do you feel right now? What can you do right now to feel your desired sensations? Anxious thoughts are just thoughts! They can't hurt you. Don't let them rule your life. Take back control. Seek professional help if you need to

I Feel ok I Did have a few Dizzy Spells When I Was on Holiday 🌴 ☀️ 🏊 🥂 With Boyfriend We Went away July 4th and Come Home July 8th always let somebody know when it's Coming on and I just like down in a comfortable place and if Somebody Rubs my Head or Wherever Maybe My Back That Can Help Make My Dizziness To Go away

What does everyone do bout driving? I quit a year ago and I’m afraid to try now cause of the lightheadedness…can I drive again? 🥺

Of course! But right now if you don't feel safe, don't drive. Maybe build up your confidence as a passenger so you know you're safe or you could even practice sitting in a stationary car. But if you set the intention that one day you want to drive again, then you can work towards that for sure!
