When I do the initial teach I do it holistically, while the students are in groups. Once I am done with the initial teaching, I asses my students understanding by asking questions, or giving them group work. While this is going on, I tend to walk around and monitor while checking for understanding, most of the time, my kids grasp the information because they help each other, and work together as a group to get the task done whether its an assignment on European Exploration, or on the effects the Columbian exchange had on our economy. They all work, together, just watching their little brains at work brings a smile to my face, knowing themselves that they have accomplished the assignment is very gratifying for them and get this, they don't want to leave my room they want to continue.

That’s the goal, for students to be so engaged, they don’t want it to end! 🤓🫶🏽

I liked how you noted the important key vocabulary in the questions. I also like how you asked, "What's another word for____?" This helps us find different ways to understand the question deeper. Also, immediately eliminating the answer choices that have nothing to do with the information provided is a great strategy.
