Nice save! Great to see people repairing and reusing, so much of this hobby is eye wateringly expensive. My son is super keen on a small layout, but the budget is unbelieveable.
Thank you. Have a look at my circular layout series for some tips on getting the best and quickest results with a small layout. It can be a very expensive hobby - clearly priced for adult modellers with relatively deep pockets - but can be done on a budget. Keep an eye out for eBay bargains (all of my Select controllers came from there). Older Lima locos can be quite cheap and are often easy to convert to DCC. I'm planning a DIY video about just that, so keep watching.
