I agree with a lot of others here.. full lesson videos often seem to get points across so much easier. They take a lot of time to watch, but it's so helpful to see someone doing the wrong thing (the same thing we mortals do) and then see them corrected and that aha moment when it all clicks. Often it seems that that is what it takes for me to also finally get it. Invaluable. Love the new format.

I loved the video. This video is a prime example of why in-person teaching is irreplaceable. Obviously he is a very good golfer. In his #2 step of training, he does a beautiful job in turning his legs & torso - maintaining his width at the top. It is beautiful to watch. By the end of his step # 5, his turn was almost halved - you couldn’t see the separation in his legs, his trail arm collapsed at the top and he stopped turning his trail shoulder. You guys picked up on it and spent the last third of the lesson fixing this… Immediate and constant feedback is so necessary for permanent improvement. There are some amazing drills out there. Most amatuers do not do a good job in following all the nuances needed to make the drills effective, then permanent. Even, when they do the drills a 100%, it doesn’t always translate in the real swing - feel vs real. Anytime I hear an instructor use the words “simple” & “golf”, I cringe.. if it was simple then pros would hit 18 GIR in a round, all the time. THEY DON’T. Even the guys that have shot 58 or 59 in a tournament, didn’t! I digress..

The video is the key and proof of what changes are made compared to before. We all think we are doing it like the pros until we see the video replay. Thx.

Love the format, very helpful because the student is asking the same questions I might ask, or struggle with the same concepts. There was a nugget at the end about how the knees work in the downswing. It would be awesome if the concept was explained in more detail! Thanks.

In all the years I've been playing golf I've only taken aprox. 3-4 lessons; the best instructor I ever had told me one thing that always stuck with me... "Practice doesn't make perfect, only perfect practice makes perfect' It's very apparent that this man has dedicated himself to that exact concept. Another reason why I really like your video's. I've been struggling with my five six and seven iron for a decade and I think I saw the reason why on your Channel. Too much forward shaft lean. It's both heartbreak and relief at the same time.

Eye opening. I had to watch this video several times before I really go that "aha" moment. After working on a few swing changes myself over the last few weeks with my coach. This video really gave me that "aha" moment. Structure and intent, perfect.

BTW - visited with one of the sales rep's for Gears and I had no idea they were located in my home state - I hope I can meet up with you guy's and learn from your years experience using the Gears Analysis software/hardware so I can better understand how to get the most out of analyzing my swing and drills to improve. I have decided to join the senior amateur tour this year and I can't think of a better coach/trainer (trust me when I say "I've seen them all") than Gears and AMG. Can't say enough good things about you guy's and your content and the simplicity of how you apply the feedback for improvement.

And I felt like a geek bringing my iPad and stand along with me to the range. Just proof that there’s always another thing or way you can do to improve. Btw, recording my swing (with the V1 Golf app, not getting paid or anything) and analyzing it on the spot has totally changed the way I practice. It’s almost instant feedback, and no subjective commentary, just the plain (and sometimes painful) truth. I learned something from your comment about once you get the legs turned properly, it’s easier to get the arms in the correctly turned position. Thanks so much for everything.

Watched this vdo yesterday and took it to the golf course only the part where you pull his right hand apart from the right shoulder and the hip turn. It works wonderfully for both my irons and smoked the driver. Your tips with a student is a super idea. Thanks so much.

That was fantastic. In the 'fixed' swing at the end, the upper part of his chest, and I've especially seen this in older Tiger swings, stays 'closed' to the line on the downswing, far longer than you would ever think, coming into the ball - and I will forever now steal your legs 'ticking' back as the shoulders turn.

Very enlightening, especially how the knees and right shoulder affect the centering and making the downswing more shallow. !

This was a great video. I struggle big time with not shallowing the club and flipping. The knees being separated with more hip turn is something I’m adding into my routine. I’m making a phase 4 practice routine of my own. I think I speak for everyone that a follow up of this guys progress would be great.

I am trying to do exactly everything here. I live in the other side of the world and wish I could attend a live lesson with you gentlemen. Recentering, pivot and trail arm depth. I am shocked how similar the things we work on. This is my first youtube comment. I felt compelled to say how amazingly useless this is. Especially the shoulder turn on the backswing to shallow...

This was a great demonstration of what you have been saying about how correcting the backswing mechanics leads to a better downswing. We may acknowledge the one influences the other, but find it so easy to: 1. Get to the top 2. Have a mental disconnect 3. Fire away from the top with all the wrong actions.

I have an area outside that has enough space to allow me to hit them and really "practice" my golf swing. I feel like I never really "practiced" my golf swing before. Enlightenment!

Excellent. I like this in person lesson view. Watching Sean do a demo is good, but watching the same things on a students is different and good perspective.. Especially with this guy who is willing to learn. I've been working on my leg/hip motions and this really helps explain what and why to do it this way. I've got to incorporate that right shoulder right arm separation as I can see in my video the same position he was in. Thx.

The end of that video, light bulb... That is the first time I have seen to let that right leg straighten to turn more, and get in a better spot allowing the club to shallow properly, and see it on video. I have always thought you should keep the right knee more bent like his other swings. Will definitely need to get in front of the mirror now and take a look at this and my rotation. Love the live lessons. My biggest fear with letting the lower body really rotate is a reverse pivot. I believe this is because I fail to make the recentre move. Definitely a lotto dream to visit you guys
