Bought both Sauvage and PLRC. Returned Sauvage and bought another bottle of PLRC recently. I am 40 years old man and I believe that Sauvage is for teenagers who like clubbing, not men who like more subtle and bearable fragrance.

Enjoy both Sauvage and Carbon. The later of which I use for work. To my nose, it’s basically a softer, smoother edged Sauvage. Good review 👍🏻

Yeah to my nose its a "watered" down version of Saugave, smells extremely similar just not as strong. I don't feel like I need it as I just got Sauvage a few weeks back

This is my favourite aftershave. I score this a 10 for the beautiful summery feel. I disagree with the comparison with the Savage. It is nothing like it and I get compliments all the time when I wear the Prada. I don't wear a scent to get compliments though. This is a very sad way to judge a scent in my opinion. It makes me feel good and I smell it all day long. I wore some today at work and a group of females said what is that gorgeous smell? I get this all the time with this scent. Well worth the money as it pleases everyone!

I agree, it's a very nice scent indeed. Perceptions of scents can wildly differ from person to person, it's all so subjevtive. It's one of the reasons fragrances interest me so much! It's great you found a fragrance that you love and works so well for you. Thanks for your comment Orla👍

That was superb. Amazing advice. I bought Prada Carbon in the duty free at London Stansted because I read so many reviews about it being preferred by many over Sauvage. In France 🇫🇷 I found out its been discontinued. Luckily I still have half a bottle of Dior Sauvage left. That was the best review ever. At least I know now to stick with Dior. When I was walking through the streets of Paris all I saw was Dior Buildings thinking may be its a message to me to stick with Dior.

Great review. What I don't understand though is why would people want someone to pick up their scent from 3-4+ feet away, especially in work/office type of setting. It's all subjective, but to me Prada is a lot smoother/classier scent; Dior just screams juvenile.

D FS thanks! I guess some people just love to project and get compliments. Sauvage lasts and projects big time. If you're after a very similar scent that doesn't shout out as much then the Prada could be a good option 👍

Smelling them both up close is harsh but once it lingers around you it's quite nice. Do you also get a shaving cream like vibe from Carbon? That's what I got on my skin, sharpness might be due to the metallic notes you mentioned.

Yeh I do but I also get that with the Sauvage, a kind of soapy powdery vibe. It's maybe a touch sharper than Sauvage but not by much. Thanks for your comment! 👍

Prada carbon actually performs a work colleague was wearing it and was leaving scent trails so I ask him he said prada carbon I thought it was sauvage, you are comparing performance on a full bottle vs sample think about it

I just bought a bottle of prada carbon I sprayed ONE spray on my wrist and rubbed other wrist on it and after over 3 1/2 hours later I am constantly smelling it, so skin sent after what did you say 1 hour well not on me I can assure you.. But maybe its changed a bit in 3 years I dunno.. I like it though!

I would argue that PLRC is a better office scent than Sauvage. While I think Sauvage is a better fragrance overall it can be a bit too much in an office setting.

Oh I am not a fan of metallic notes. They just cut me the wrong way. As in Dior Sauvage! (I need to check your review on that one) But I will give this a try anyway as I am always curious about all perfumes. Okay ...holding my nose off I go to see what you love about Sauvage. Cheers

It was a dumb buy if you have Savauge I have both and Savauge is just better the soap in the Carbon during dry down I didn’t like but I will admit 3 ppl told me it was nice and I ask 1 chi what she think she said I give it a 10

i was wondering if you have tried the prada olfactories mirages. moonlight shadow (fig) is my favourite one :-) i thought the whole line is very high quality and nicely blended...
