"It's an ongoing prank war, you have to understand the stakes are going to be raised and it's going to get worse and worse..."- Human Giant, Prank War 5
This would not be so bad if they hadn't been dating for so long. But she said yes initially... You have to anticipate these things if you're gonna make a prank like this.
embarrassing? the girl is a nobody, streeter is actually pseudo-famous... i'm sure this random "sharon" had zero trouble getting over it... it's not like someone's going to recognize her in a grocery store. you can't be embarrassed if no one knows who you are.
+Steven Breaking a relationship isn't a "joke". It's like saying that if I were to shoot someone and say it's a joke. That's what's wrong with this trend of "pranks", everyone thinks it's a joke and it's all dandy if you say those words. Maybe you need to grow up and read what "joke" really means.
Jafer Hasnain Throwing a spanner into the works of someone's love life and labeling it a "prank" is a dick move, not raising the stakes. Amir's a total bitch in the prank war.
Yes, but that was an innocent prank that didn't ruin a life or destroy a relationship. That was an elaborate prank, this was a prank that literally caused pain amongst a couple.
It would have been worse, and id agree, if they didnt say at the ending of the last prank "well, you guys have been pranking for over a year, youd be foolish to not think the stakes would be raised", and yes, i use the quotes wrong/very loosely, but they did say something of that kind.
His girlfriend definitely should have been in on it.You don't mess with someone's relationship like that because you don't know how it will affect them and it can ruin the feeling of that first big surprise of your partner asking you to marry them. These last 3 pranks were really bad (I'm still watching thought because the first one I watched was the 8th one and it was pretty good so I figure they get back on track)
3:54 does anyone else hear Streeter say that he doesn't want to fucking marry her? I think it's not right to even say it like that if he cared for her so I think Amir and Steeter both fucked up lol
Taco Burns I understand that but the way Streeter said it to her was not a good way to calm her down to tell her that he didn't set that up, I would've sat her down and talked to her calmly lol
Are you kidding me. They are actors staging all of there events for television lol there mtv actors my man wake up. Look how stupid they look when they are acting. The whole baseball field marriage proposal is extremly staged. From the slap to the crowd reactions. All the people sitting near them knew it too.
+Mutantcy1992 Just means they weren't right for each other. People need to calm their tits. He is married to someone else, so it's a good thing this happened. She can't take a joke.
Mutantcy1992 Watch out guys. He's triggered. He found the right person for him clearly since he's married fuck boy. Doesn't make me a jack ass that she couldn't handle that joke. End of story. She's clearly way too sensitive like you apparently. Hey, maybe you can find her and let her know you "white-knighted" her over the internets! Maybe she's the one!
I agree with others, it was a dick move not to let the girlfriend in on it. Should have just been something that embarrassed Streeter, not ruined his relationship.
"I'll weigh in. First, the Yankee prank did not end my relationship with Sharon. Sharon and I did end up breaking up but not because of that. Moving on, when Amir did that - which was a great prank - only a few hundred people in my section actually saw me get slapped. 18,000 people watched Amir last night. You'll obviously be the judge of which was better but keep in mind how many eyeballs were actually on the pain." - Streeter Seidell
Everyone who's saying Amir went too far and he's "such a little bitch" needs to understand this context. Before this, Streeter flew Amir from NEW YORK TO CALIFORNIA to potentially film a comedy sketch that could have landed him on a MAJOR NETWORK, which is all Amir has ever wanted in his career to later be told it was all fake. That's similar to someone saying they've landed their dream job and the employer calling back saying "hah just kidding". You really think this is any worse? As below-the-belt this was, flying someone across the country as a joke is pretty fucking mean too. Streeter deserved it.
Streeter isn't the one getting hurt here. His gf is. What did his gf do to deserve that? If Amir wants to prank him back, cool. They're obviously consenting to eachother being dicks to eachother. But the gf did not at all deserve this.
That was pretty harsh on Amir's part. I mean when Streeter pranked Amir there was a little embarrassment and some name calling afterwards. Whereas when Amir pranked Streeter there was huge damage done and nearly a relationship ruined as well. They did get back together though, but broke up a week or so later. Harsh :(
Dude, next time, if you really really must ruin someone's else's day/life for the sake of your own mean-spirited amusement, at least let the girlfriend in on the joke. You were trying to prank your friend, but she didn't sign on for this stupid war, and she didn't deserve that.
They just admitted all the prank war episodes were faked. They talked about it on the latest episode of "If I were You" (Ep 283), a podcast by Jake and Amir...
LMAOF That's top level prank! The guy single handily humiliated his friend and gf in the middle of a game in the Yankees stadium and destroyed a relationship after she said "yes". Wow ma man. That's a homerun!
Greatest prank ever. Yet so freaking cruel. I'm torn between wanting to hate Amir cause he ruined the guys relationship, and being in awe because it's incredibly well done.
Amir's pranks are just EVIL. Streeters are harmless, well crafted and funny. Amir's are pretty much "Hah, I've thrown a rock at your face and now you're bleeding" way of funny.
what if you didn't want to get married though?Which he obviously didn't. Prank is so unfair on the girlfriend however way it turns out, because she would find out that it was a prank even if he went along with it and then be equally mad that he didn't genuinely propose.
theunkownviolinist No, if you paid any attention to the video you see that she actually said yes but Streeter had no idea what was going on and was trying to explain to her that he wasn't actually the one who did it so she thought that meant that he didn't wanted to marry her which obviously isn't the case at all because he was just as shocked as she was and was just trying to explain that it wasn't him and he had no idea who did it. Hence, why she slapped him and walked off.
I few years ago my freshman English teacher mentioned this video, after being suddenly reminded of the video existence I searched it up and wasn’t disappointed.
+TH3 K1NG43 How the fuck do you know? You don't know anything about her. She was embarrassed in front of 57,000 people. The prank should have had nothing to do with her.
