Pete was talking about this video on a podcast with Jake and Amir and said that although people think its him, its not. Maybe he was lying or mistaken but i believe him.
What if it wasn't a prank, and Amir just filmed the part with Pete Holmes after the fact just so streeter didn't feel so bad? What if Amir was just a really dedicated friend😂
The "you're fat!" at 3:32 makes me BUST out laughing every time. because he's literally TALKING about being fat and someone says he's fat and just.. fuck it gets me every time
It was basically just playing an embarrassing video in front of friends/coworkers. Amirs reaction is to put a comedian up on stage with strangers who laugh at him for his weight.
@@lyingonthemoon792 "just playing an embarrassing video in front of friends/coworkers" oh and you know the entire internet. Amir had to be around people making fun of him for weeks. I doubt Streeter saw those people ever again and if so they likely didn't laugh at him. Also, no one told them to heckle or insult him. They were just supposed to not laugh.
@@ajl9772 Amir and Streeter both admitted they were all faked in Amir and Jake's podcast. Just lookup College Humor Fake Pranks and you'll find a Reddit Post that'll take you to the the tumblr with the podcast
@@kamenraider1175 it's pretty obvious with #3 especially that they're faked. that audition tape has a lot of timing flaws, which at first glance makes it believable. but on second view he acts so completely unprepared and amateurish
Watching Streeter fight back and stay strong is inspiring to say the least. It's awesome to see him believe in himself enough even though all these people were being complete assholes.
The heckling wasn't part of it was it? If not, then this demonstrates the social effects of being granted the privileges that would otherwise be considered rude.
Never noticed this but you are totally right. When people are aloud to do things that would normally be bad, they go way overboard. Like people playing gta going on civilian killing rampages.
They were originally just supposed to be silent and not respond, but they took their own authority a step further and started the heckling. It is like once you taste blood you want more.
Meh...Maybe more people laugh who otherwise wouldn't. But without laughter humor is depressing? That doesn't even make sense. For proof I doubt this prank would work for a great comedian.
I though people were told "don't laugh" not "be a huge dick". Would have been funnier if they only hadn't laughed because he would be telling jokes to awkward silence and trying to figure out why nobody was laughing, rather than quickly concluding they were just mean people.
Man they really needed to reveal the prank way earlier when Streeter was on stage so he could at least have the end of his set with the audience laughing. That would have actually been a satisfying end to this prank.
Amir has admitted that all Prank War videos were faked - you can literally hear him say that at 2:20 in the video "If I Were You - Episode 283: College Humor Prank Wars FAKE (Highlight) ".
Looking back you can clearly hear that the hecklers are other members of CH. The woman sounds like Sarah Schneider. Prank War was essentially CH’s bellagio heist
The awkward way he keeps trying to save it and segwaying into other topics is so sad, and hilarious at the same time. And I love that Pete couldn't contain himself.
No wonder people get stage fright. I mean if this is someone who always is afraid of taking the stage and finally gets to do it and ends up humiliated by the crowd... I'd say Andy Bloom, well done. Dude, that prank is awesome.
I don't think Amir is to blame for the crowd's shitty attitude. He simply told them not to laugh, not to heckle Streeter like that. Some guy just got too into the role ane let his inner jackass come brayin out.
People are saying that Jake and Amir confirmed these fake, but there’s nooo way someone has a genuine laugh like Pete Holmes does at 2:10 from fake awkwardness
I would say that one of strongest signs that these Prank War videos are staged is the simple fact that they did so many of them - a lot of them are way over the line, and would have made Amir and Streeter bitter enemies, and yet they continued to make new episodes without any problems or any apparent hard feelings.
If you watch all the prank wars in a row, it's no surprise they stopped at 8. They all got progressively more life altering. I feel like if they made a prank war 9, somebody would have died.
The way Pete's laugh fades into the distance as he's trying to walk somewhere quieter... But then you still hear it 30 seconds later cause he just had to come back to watch the shitshow lmao
Just announced on If I Were You this morning: This whole series was fake. And it was always intended to be seen as fake. Listen to If I Were You Episode 283: Prank Wars
Right when I found out what the prank was, I knew it wouldn't end well. And of course, either some audience members took it too far or they're just jerks- also at the end when Streeter said "I guess this one's going online" I just started imagining every prank that they did that ended too terribly or morbidly to go online... ... ...
