I absolutely love this. I was a victim of a scammer 3yrs ago, not an Indian scammer but a homegrown scammer here in England. 2 days after I was diagnosed with leukaemia this bastard emptied my bank accounts. I was so close to suicide but thought better of it. Eventually earlier this year, with the help of a local tv reporter, I got all my money back.

@m42037 I agree 100%! I watch this channel a lot & I left a comment on a video from a mo. ago about a PayPal scam that was "trying" to scam $32K from a 94 y/o man. It was entertaining listening to the scammers ridiculous BS, but obviously it's not the least bit funny that it's usually older ppl who are scammed & 4 *big* amounts of money. I said that banks, credit unions etc., shouldn't allow a transfer or withdrawal amount of say $5K without them having to make contact with the legit Company or person directly for who the money is going to..especially *IF* they are over 70 y/o and *also* are *alone* I'm sure they could easily set up something similar to that easily *but* I'm guessing that if they're the ones who mess up somehow, then they're on the hook for the scammed $ getting refunded bc they're all Federal institutions. So yeah it's possible for them to *really* make a difference in helping people-especially older people to *not* become victims of these scummy lowlifes, but it just proves that they *really* don't give a damn! And then I find it absurd that enforcement agencies like customs have the ability to enforce the law of not having more than $10K on your person when traveling & can ask you at any time how much money you have in your possession, *but* *IF* you're the victim of a scam, you're SOL.. Lawmakers *NEED* to step up & take action against these foreign criminals bc they *all* have to have *many* ties to ppl in this Country, and they damn well *know* who they are and how much these scams have reached epic proportions!!

Not defending them by any means but the mother isn’t responsible for this and hurting her wouldn’t help… you gotta understand they’re most in India because the country is increasingly overpopulated which means increasing poverty and homelessness which means increasingly more get desperate enough to apply to an IT/customer service job in the city to provide for their family, and if it’s a scam call centre they don’t find out until it’s too late… and they can’t afford to leave and it’s too dangerous to expose them so they’re stuck… and the ones in charge make all the money and pay the police enough to not worry about getting in trouble, and the scammers make only enough to survive… of course some do it for nefarious reasons and some get to the point they enjoy it, but most aren’t like that… It’s multiple levels of fuckery, it’s not as simple as some humans are good some are evil… it’s not just “evil people doing it for fun/make themselves feel better”… are you that simple? No, and no one else either. It will keep getting worse if people don’t start understanding this more… because exposing them is only temporary minimal help because they keep changing their tactics…

The reason the scammer was adamant about her taking the dollar bill was because it gives them an “out” if she takes it, then he can claim he was there to purchase something and it was just a “transaction”

not really. they do it so the mules can't walk away with a drop. if they're just using a verbal password, the victim's just going to say 'yeah, the guy gave the right password and i gave him the money' - but the _mule_ can claim that the victim is lying and playing games. scammer has no way of knowing who's telling the truth and the mule can potentially walk off with the money - but if the mule gives the scammer a bank note serial number, then the serial number is confirmed by the victim via photo, scammer knows that the drop actually took place and the mule is firmly on the hook for that drop. there's no 'out' for the mule - if authorities investigate, they're going to find out exactly _what_ was being purchased for one dollar. buying $200k for $1 is obviously not a legitimate transaction.

Im around yr age to, this nearly happened to me to, i was selling a boat at the time and a old ad was still showing on Google searches from the last owner for less money than i was selling it for so i wanted it removed from Google searches so i got in contact with what i thought was a I.T. Company listed in my country. They told me a fee of $75 they would remove it from google so i agreed, they proceeded for me to start downloading a app that gives them access to my device (my brain got instantly suspicious like why) but i thought eh strange but maybe so i download it while talking to them on another device . Then looking at my screen looking at what he was doing i was like NO F_CKING WAY im not having this so i started smashing the back button repeatedly to get him the fk out of what he was doing and we were in a keyboard fight (he's yelling at me to stop pressing the back button) i turned my device off while pressing the back button and factory reset it upon opening it back up to be safe with my sim out to be sure... the motherf_cker called me for 2 weeks straight yelling at me.. getting other people to call me threatening me every day for 2 weeks multiple times a day even... put me right on the back foot again thinking was it a real I.T. Company or not... in the end i said to him im not paying you the ad was still up when you said you could take in down ill only pay half and you stop calling me, so i payed him on my credit card (reset my card limit first so he doesn't fk me) and cancelled my card numbers immediately after so i was good again... i don't want anyone to go throw this it was horrific the games they play😢

Man, I wish I knew you guys personally. I'm a disabled veteran and was almost scammed for all of my money over Christmas when the scammers somehow disguised their phone number they were calling from with my banks phone number. When they sent me a text over the phone asking for my account login, I knew something was up and while I was on the phone with the guy, I changed my login info and gave him the old info. Makes me sick that people out there are scamming disabled veterans, and the elderly.

WHAT COMPANY, (that's 'LEGITIMATE'), would COMMIT A FELONY just to use as a password exchange??? This was quite the ride! Trilogy always keeps me laughing! There was definitely something in the back of my mind on this bait. A sweet 82-year-old lady had been horribly abused by the scammer and almost lost $60k! I called her to tell her she may have spoken to a scammer and boy was she caught up in the middle of a nightmare. She was traumatized and I asked her to send me the invoice she got. So everything she told me was done to her, I did to them. She was yelled at, cut off when she tried to speak, threatened, her bank was zeroed out, was laughed at, she was told she was responsible for someone's job, and for someone not being able to buy his parent's meds, and was afraid for her own life. Thank you guys. It's great to see you guys getting revenge of these scammers. My grandpa got scammed once and almost scammed another time. I honestly wish there was a way to educate the elderly on scams and internet protection on a global level. I see it everyday with my grandfather getting confused and frustrated. It's why I watch you guys and others to keep informed on the newest scam trends. Still, we need to better educate the elderly and make it easier for them to identify these kind of things.

I have 2 older neighbors who have been victims or near misses. The lady next door to me fell for a Microsoft scam. When she told me Microsoft called her and said her computer was infected, I told her that Microsoft doesn't call people and she was being scammed but she didn't listen. They then tried a refund scam on her telling her to take money out of her bank and either wire it to them or get gift cards. When she said she was going to talk to someone at her bank the scammer told her not to then she realized she was getting scammed. They moved money from her savings to her checking and said it was an over refund. I cleaned her computer and luckily, she lost no money. What I don't understand is why she was more willing to believe a complete stranger on the phone over a neighbor who has lived next door to her for 20 years. The other one got hit twice losing $600 in a tech support scam and $2800 in a DirecTV scam. We have told him about these scams multiple times yet he almost got scammed 5 more times. If he hadn't called one of us, he would have fallen for it again. This guy just won't learn and I'm sure he will get scammed again if he hasn't been already. All we can do is try to educate others about these scams and if they don't listen, not much else that can be done.

One day they will run into a scammer or money mule with nothing to lose. There was way to many what if moments in this video. If that guy pulled a weapon and used it to get free things could have really been dark. Love what they do, but they are playing with fire blocking a criminal face to face like that.

If someone ever sends me too much by accident, this crap has ensured that I'll be keeping it. If you make a mistake like they pretend to make... they don't deserve a job. Also, threatening suicide is a weak tactic... eventually the empathy will be gone. Their fake tears dont even phase me. The next gen of old ladies wont be as nieve.

Ugh I love Chappy so much!! 🧡 The scammer’s explanation of his treatment at the hospital (“pumped me full of water”) made me cringe so hard. You can’t give straight up water via IV, it will cause severe hemolysis (blood cells rupturing), which could be fatal, that’s why we give isotonic saline. Seeing Mortimer in real life is truly surreal. You weren’t kidding when you said this would be unlike any video before. Thank you guys for your hard work, so satisfying to see them get dunked on hard. Unprofessional?! Just look at Art in his Hello Kitty scrubs, can’t get more professional than that 😂. P.S. How the scammer focused on the dollar bill really irked me as well. They're sending some of the worst people to go pick up money from vulnerable people and it wouldn't surprise me if they use fentanyl laced bills to incapacitate people meeting the mules. they're not poisoned, for goodness sake lol. they can't keep scamming victims if they murder them all - they generally try to keep some of these poor old folks on the line for months or even years. they do the dollar bill thing so their mules don't claim the victim is lying about giving them the money. these mules are every bit as dishonest as the scammers themselves and they're not likely to be morally opposed to stealing stolen money from scammers overseas.

What a brilliant video guys, well done! The collaboration between Ray and Chappy then Trilogy Media was amazing, Chappy was so funny and she was annoying the scammer big time! true, but that would require a scammer going to the police and explaining why they were there in the first place, which they are unlikely to do. then the police have to investigate and prosecutors have to decide to pursue the case. I'm not saying commit crimes because you shouldn't. but the guys are unlikely to face any consequences from the cops over this kind of thing.

@@sethescope Thanks captain obvious. In the event that this footage becomes part of a larger investigation that this man gets caught up in, it could become a problem. Cops and DAs hate this shit because amateurs often screw up their ability to prosecute. These guys do predator stings and they are often reckless just for content. I unsubscribed when I watched them disrespect the police and dispatchers they called to a scene because they asked them to call a non emergency line and responded accordingly. They then proceeded to notify the family themselves, on camera, and later filmed himself being cruel to the wife who disagreed with how they handled it. Truly awful. If you are going to try to be Chris Hansen, at least collaborate with the police and do it right and don’t be a dick. They ruined that woman’s life and dude in the glasses seemed to really enjoy it.
