In today's video, Roger & I head out to Exton Pennsylvania, to thrift at the new Goodwill location !
The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions & flea markets ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, which fully supports me!

Single coffee cups are one of my guilty pleasures. If I see one I like I purchase it. I like a variety of beautiful coffee mugs for myself and to offer my guest. My daughter recently had a tea party and we shopped for vintage tea sets and tea pots. We wanted them to be different for conversation sake. I think we had more fun shopping than actually having the party (a lot of hard work). Love going on your shopping trips. I learn a tremendous amount of knowledge from them. I've not been well for a while now and I am missing my thrift store shopping. These days I'm living vicariously through your shopping trips. I'm 80 and I've started selling off some of my beautiful treasures 😔. It is the hardest thing I've had to do. I have no room for all my beautiful collections I have gathered over the years. The things you find are just georgeous. I have purchased a few things from you that I love. Happy New Year. I wish you and your loved ones in 2022 love, laughter and happiness. God bless.

Who knew about the Precious Moments Nativity Scene set. I have one sitting in my store front on display, even have the original box. I will carefully package up and try to resell. Thanks for the info, I learn so much from your videos.

Oh Karen my heart stopped a second at 5:19 in your video just after the art glass you miss on the top shelf Anchor Hocking Colonial Tulip Ice Blue tumblers. Not a ton of money but very collectible and something I am looking for. I’m quite jealous of the quality of your stores and the prices. You picked a great spot to move and have an eBay business.

The Wedgwood Majolica Cauliflower plates at 5:48 are worth 300 dollars each! I can't believe it they are for only 1.99! One of the two has a hairline crack but the other one seems in perfect shape.

I think it depends on the year they were made. One from 1958 sold in November for $48 - which is still a great price if you only pay $1.99 for it. I guess you can tell from the stamp on the bottom

3 of my biggest sales were because I liked the item at the time I was not able to do comps so I picked them up because I liked them and thought well if they do not sell they will be mine . Got home did comps and wow so listed to sell and they were some of my highest sales

I’m always on the lookout for Glassybabies. I live near where they are made here in Washington State. I’ve been very lucky and have found around 50 at thrift shops. I keep them for me!

That first vase!!😍. It looks like something you would see growing out of the forest floor in north Idaho in the spring. Just on a much larger scale. I would have scooped that up for myself in a heartbeat!

I could be mistaken, but I think that lovely large wooden plaque at time stamp 15:02 is an inlaid piece... What does everyone else think? It might have been easy to camouflage the scratches with a wood product made for that purpose... It also looked like the sides had what people are calling a "live edge." I believe I would have put that in my cart and shown it to Roger!

Never leave what your in question about. someone else will take it. Put in cart just to be safe.if you decide you do not want it,then just put in bin by register. I learned the hard way. happy shopping you are awesome!

dragonware with mirage teacup and saucer if in good condition you could probably get at least 25 - 40 depending if there is any geisha in bottom lithopane . Depending on teh cost I might have picked that for 1 or 2 dollars

Vase Color: a funny topic my wife and I were discussing earlier this week. Not just the color of that vase, which I’d just call Purple, but the different way men and women see color and the connection to X and Y chromosomes. The documentary video I was viewing, which opened the conversation, was about the different receptors and visual processing that’s been genetically passed down in our XY genes from a time back when we were Hunter/Gatherers. Female eyesight was (and still seems to be) better at distinguishing color shades for discerning edible plants, while male eyesight/brain activity was geared toward movement, shadows and changes to light and dark. This view made me wonder if this is why most men describe color with about a dozen words, mostly from the primary color wheel (red, blue, green, etc), while women seem to be able to name dozens of words for any shade variation for any primary color. It might also be why there are more colors in most women’s wardrobes then their male companions.

i watched you when you first started this channel then was at work so much that I got away from these videos. But it's very interesting to see how you have changed your views on what you are shopping for,, listing and no longer have the "I will ship anything, big or odd shaped, will find a way" to the view now of " I don't want to deal with having to ship that", and you switched from on finds of quality clothing to hard goods instead. Interesting to see (as someone who is thinking of doing this in the future, lord knows I have enough to sell without shopping much). It is very educational to watch how the experience has changed how you format your business.

Glassybaby (don't forget the first "y") is easy to spot because each one weighs at least a pound so they are very, very heavy! It feels like you're holding a big vase instead of a candle holder. And of course, they are stamped on the bottom with the logo.

Fun thrift trip! I’m finding the Asian pieces that sell well for me are either blue and white with butterflies or dragons, and any with moriage. Otherwise, I tend to leave it on the shelf. Small Asian ginger jars do well for me, but I have to be drawn to the color-usually cobalt blue with good subject matter. Thank you for all you’ve taught me and how you inspire me as a reseller. The little handled vase is by Stangl and is American. The plates are English Majolica - always good to buy one in mint condition - even if a single. The freeform vase, China. The Asian cup & saucer is Moriage - okay to buy a single set. The stein not a reproduction but newer. The mask is a cool find - not a reproduction but not overly old. Stained glass-style vase very pretty. The megaphone I would have picked up (advertising). Brass from 70s-90s and little value. Wood plaque very attractive. True, the floral porcelain dishes no longer sell well. (Most) Hummels & Precious Moments not so great. I enjoyed shopping with you! have fun! Thank you!

I just got a giggle from the precious moments nativity collection. I happened to find one full set in box yesterday and put in my cart knowing it was hit or miss in general with precious moments. But yes, I comped in the store and was shocked at the value!!! I paid $9! Love your channel!!

How fun to see you at "my" Goodwill! Great finds. The new location opened on "Black Friday," after the old location had closed for a couple months (TORTURE!!!). I do find really cool items there. I wish I had been there to see the Asian ginger jar. Lovely. I enjoy your videos, especially your transparency as to how you mentally process items to purchase, and the business side. Ah, Exton Goodwill...my old stomping grounds, now in the former Swann's location. I spent so much time going back & forth between the two stores. (😂 I'll never admit how much). I'm always coming across things I've gotten there and am still floored by the deals I've gotten. To this day, still the best Goodwill I've been to yet.

I think the little box of gold gadgets you bought are the things that you stick in the sides of display cases and slide the glass shelves into the little gadget. It holds the shelf in place. Could be wrong...
