Predator 212 Go Kart Kill Switch Installation 

Just traded a kayak for a Doodle minibike with a brand new 6.5 Predator that needed the kill switch connected. My 11-year old boy and I watch your vids together to learn and we really appreciate these quick informative videos.

Hey Big Red, I just finished watching the video and everything worked out fine utilizing both kill switches🏍 my sons mini bike went from the stock 97cc and upgraded him to the predator 212cc. I still left the governor on it to keep from over revving and maintain the safer speed for now. Love the educational videos keep making them😃👍🏽

Because of some of your videos I've been able to get it running really well and do a little bit of repairs and modifications to make it a little better. So thanks for that.

Exact same set up as my honda gx120. Wanted to put the kill switch on the dash of the kids go-kart to keep them from learning about hot parts of the engine

Perfect! I just installed a new Predator on a Puma Motor Bike, and was having shut down Issues for no reason. Was wondering what that little Box on the front was for, I knew it had a Sensor for low Oil, now I understand Why the Shut Downs, and I also now know how to connect the Handle Bar Kill Switch. Realize this is an old one but still informative, I've been looking around and haven't seen many videos on diagnosing a bad/wiggling connecting rod with too much play.good video would be what to look out for and what is tolerable and what is not.could save someone a block,blown con rod, or worse like personal injury..or just for the knowledge of it.simple things like that can HELP prevent much worse problem$

I just purchased my first mini bike. It’s a old Baja doodlebug with a older predator 212 on it like the one in this video. It currently doesn’t work I’m trying to trouble shoot it and thinking of just replacing the carb to make the throttle easier. What kind of aftermarket carbs fit on those older predator engines?

Nice short and to the point fear until you just run that wire up and then the other wire coming up out of the switch ground that and that's all you need just the one groundout you do that

Hi Red Beard. I’m new to building go karts. This is my first one that was junked and I’m putting it together. I already rebuilt most of the engine because a lot of rusted seized parts. Now that I have everything together before I put in service what kind of oil should I use in my 212cc predator with a stage 1 upgrade and torque converter?

So the wire going into the engine isn’t needed? I have an electric start on mine but it doesn’t work so I took it apart and I’m trying to figure out how to get rid of it and just put a switch on it cause the pull start works great

Awesome channel man. So I have a question: I bought a alphaworks 212cc and I doesn't seem to have a low oil sensor. I can't find nothing online. It's only one ground wire and the other goes to center/top of the engine under the gas tank I'm sure to the coil. I don't see a relay or a wire going to the block.

Hey just wondering if you can hook up lights to this motor and the motor will run electrics!

So I want to eliminate the oils sensor on my off road golf cart with out tarring it apart .now can I still do this and cut the wires .but still use the key start .or would I have to pull start it then.i would like to keep the key start if possible and still be Abel to disconnect the oil sensor.sence my golf cart likes to shut off on me after about 30 Min of trailing then I have Waite for everything to cool down before driving again

Need help wireing up a push start button on a go kart with a predator 212

Watched your video, and did everything step by step as you did. Keeping the stock kill switch, but also adding a toggle switch. removed the low oil sensor, and used a male bullet connector to connect the toggle kill switch. Now go kart will not start. wondering where I went wrong. the toggle switch has 2 wires. One wire, I attached to the frame with a screw for a ground, the other wire is the one connected with the bullet connector. any ideas?

Can I do this same process with an electric start so I can have the kill switch on my Handle bars and the key?

The black wire off the start/stop switch BROKE & not sure were it went. Goes through engine( has a heat sleeve on it) Hooked it up to that throttle Philips head screw (nut with hole in it),but know it doesn’t go there? Thanks!

Great videos! Have you ever hooked a chinese atv wiring harness complete with key, kill switch, push button start, and lights to one of these 212cc? I have a Chinese atv frame and just installed the pred212 with electric start in it and would like to use the existing wiring harness, but having issues. Any help would be greatful. Thanks.
