Dina please take that maternity leave, you’re totally entitled and deserving of it ❤️ I love how much you’ve changed, I feel like I’ve grown up with you and you’ve inspired me in so many ways. Thanks for sticking through this RU-vid journey, you’ve helped more people than you know 😘

Lovely to see 102 likes on a supportive comment however it misses the point. As a self employed youtuber, the second she stops making videos and takes a leave, she stops receiving any income. There's nobody to pay her maternity leave therefore she actually can't. I'm glad for her that she is taking the right mentality towards the job though, and easing back alhamdulillah. May Allah give her inner peace and the strength to get through the difficult hormonal times

Dina you should let Hana pick out a present for her newborn sibling, and a present for her from the sibling...it'll help build that strong sibling bond. But regardless I am sure she'll be a fantastic big sister inshaAllah! Can't wait to see her interacting with the little one xx

Amina Ahmed It’s funny in our culture people try to hide their pregnancies and pregnant bellies as much as possible and these bloggers out here showing it as much as possible and even saying “it’s about to pop”

My heart broke for Dina. But she doesn’t see how strong she actually is. If you take a break from filming, We will understand. Or anything else. ❤️ Mental health is way more important and those who care, want nothing more than you (and the baby) healthy. And holy shit I relate to the part where you explained the mentality around the eating disorder. Once you get into that cycle mentally, it’s hard to get out. So I completely understand. Keep strong.

As a midwife I'm advising you to please go and get checked out at the hospital ANY time you feel reduced movements! Never wait and assume it's normal when you can't feel baby's normal pattern of movement. It's always better to be safe than sorry x

xmeeeeeeex absolutely not. A C-Section is a major operation. Nobody does them for their own convenience. They are done if it's in the best interest/safest option for mum and baby.

yasmin sugar it's always safer to get checked out. I experienced lots of reduced movement in my last pregnancy even though in the end alhamdulillah things were fine. I still got checked out every single time i was concerned though. Always better to be safe.

I suffer from chronic depression and even though I am not pregnant, I have noticed that apart from the support of those around you and their love, there are two things that drastically reduce my depression on most days. First is eating right. The days you consume artificial sugar will be worse emotionally than the days you don't. Also the days you stuff your stomach is when you'll be even more miserable than normal people. The days you eat processed food is also not going to be your best because most of them are addictive so I have a craving for them after having them too and I am not even pregnant. I am sure you know the stuff in there is meant to keep people addicted to the product. Second is exercise. The days I exercise, my depression is either completely gone or it's a lot better than it was before I did it. You're pregnant so you should consult your doctor before doing anything but for those suffering from depression, aerobics is the best exercise. You can definitely go for long walks and that'll help you unless your physician believes you can do another exercise like yoga or something. Simple long walks are preferable at your stage I think and try to do it alone because there are no distractions and you get some me time as well. Don't be too hard on yourself you're doing great considering you're having a human being inside you. Everything will be fine soon insha'allah.

Aw Dina, sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I don't have the pressure of taking care of a toddler as I'm in my first pregnancy, but I have a similar history with an ED, and also had quite a long low period in my pregnancy from like 16-32 weeks (and a bit still on and off). It's really tough man, and people don't realise. Because it's not just you, you have the guilt of feeling like you have to be glowing and happy because you're carrying life, but it can take such a massive toll on your mental state, far more so than normal, and can just get you back into these bad cycles of thought/behaviour. Obviously this is your work, but try not to put too much pressure on yourself and just focus on your own health and well-being. We're all just people behind screens, but you need yourself and your family needs you more than anyone, and the people who don't even know you just have to respect that. I pray that you find ease in this journey, and that you're able to grow into an even stronger human and mother because of it. Much love xx

Dina love take it easy and GET HELP!!!! Depression during pregnancy and after birth is very common and I know it makes women feel crap but please don't make it feel like you're a bad mother, I assure you from watching your relationship with Hana you are doing an awesome job mA. If the depression is affecting your energy and life then I urge to get help, or at least talk to your midwife and she'll guide you to the right direction....there are lots of help out there rather than battling it out own your own. Hopefully you feel better soon though inshaAllah xxx

R R that's good but for some who got PTSD from "professionals" you are not really gonna trust them anymore are you? Also when you find out there's Pig in the vaccines that we get? I don't want pig shit in my body or babies body. Sorry not having a go but not trusting doctors no more. I hope soon they will all be out of business unless the ones who really care about humans.

Dina, the fact that you are aknowledging all these emotions and differents states you're going through means they will flow. Ups, downs, crappy days, blessed days, it is like the ocean waves. Let them come, allow them to go and focus on the best around you- having a wonderful supportive hubby, your creative sweet Hanna, and your inner strength. Also, your family is always there. Cry it out, scream it out, it is just a wave. Let it come, let it go, breathe in and out. P.S. I hope you realize how lucky WE ALL are to have each other on this channel. Basically a huge room full of girlfriends (and dem creepy men), that are HERE for you. Love x

Having two kids is so overwhelming BEFORE the baby actually comes. I remember when I was pregnant with my son I just felt like shit all the time which made me feel like a shit mom which then made me feel even worse and I comforted myself with food which only brought me down even more. It’s a never ending cycle when you have so many pregnancy hormones 😩😩 but don’t worry once the baby comes everything will fall into place and you’ll feel silly for stressing out about this stuff in the first place. Just try to remember that you’re trying your best and that’s ALL that matters.

Yes! You're so worried beforehand and you put so much pressure on yourself to kind of give no. 1 all the time they won't get once 2 is here and then also at the same time you're freaking pregnant and can't move, everything hurts, everything is tiring, and you beat yourself up about everything. And eat. And get fat. Bloody second pregnancy is emotionally awful isn't it.

You really are a beautiful person to me. Not only physically. I see how you are trying to survive. That gives me strength. Because, really at the end of the day, everyone should be trying to survive. Only people who think they already got it, dont see the necessity to try to survive. They are the poor ones. Every other struggling person who knows how desperate they need Allah, are really the ones who are near to Allah. I pray we are all of them. God bless you and your family. Amin.

Dina, I hope this comment finds you. I think many of us viewers can agree that you are amazing, hilarious, brilliant and very creative. Been following you for ages. But I see that you are struggling inside. For most of my life, I did not process my emotions in the healthiest way. I carried a lot of anger, I remembered petty things, which snow balled into more bad decisions and depression. I hit unimaginably low points in my life. And because I neglected my emotions, I had bad “tendencies” like biting my fingers whenever I was anxious, which manifested into severe full body skin rash whenever I stressed. My mind was disconnected with my body. I didn’t listen to my body when it needed attention. But I learned, it’s not what we go through, it’s how we choose to deal with it. And I am worried about how you’re dealing with your emotions. Your eating tendencies is your body’s way of communicating with you. Something is bothering you. And you have to listen to this. Whatever it is you are going through, create healthy habits to cope. Honestly, I am not religious at all, but since you are, why don’t you pray more? Now is a good time to turn to God. Maybe this is what you’re missing? Personally, I have found yoga to be helpful because it teaches me to be present, appreciate the now and how to just take a step back and breathe. I think religion has the same impact. You might feel out of control now, but you should find that control again. Everything is a choice. As your viewer, I want nothing more than for you to feel happy inside. If you feel like you need to take a step back, take a break from the internet, then fuck it. Do what you need to do for yourself. Take care of yourself. Anyone who really cares about you would say the same

Thank you for being so honest. It’s insane because I feel like it was meant for me to watch this video. I’m 35 weeks pregnant with my second baby boy and I’ve been extremely low this pregnancy (Stay-at-home mommying a 2-year-old + freelancing from home) which has been really scary because I was so upbeat and happy the first time around. I even asked my OB if there was a such thing as pregnancy depression + if it could lead to postpartum depression because I was so confused as to what was wrong with me. Anyway! Nothings wrong with me besides stress + maintaining a sense of individuality for my mental stability. Thank you and know you’re not the only mama having a hard time! I wish you the best! You’re strong, women are strong, + good luck!

That baby is getting ready! Some people’s bumps shrink before they give birth as the baby drops lower in the weeks before they give birth so someone’s coming soon!

May Allah ‘azza wajaal make everything easy for you Dina! And as you said make sure you put Allah as number 1, first him and then the rest..if you do that you would see everything will go smoothly. Cuz as Allah ta’aala said in the Quran: ‘So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me. O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.’ Allah ma’aakii in shaa Allah😘

I love when you be real with us because when I’m going thru stuff sometimes I just feel like the only person in the world that has issues. ESP in this social media world where ppl only show their successes and wins and don’t really show the reality. So when I see videos like this It makes me feel less alone and makes me realise that there are other people out there too going through stuff but I.a it will get better.

Hi Dina thank you for being so open and honest. I am 23 and have a 2 yr old and a new baby girl who is 5 weeks old today. I stressed and stressed before she was born ‘nesting’ and lost my mind trying to get the house ready. It got me so down. It is still not ‘done’ but my baby is here and I’m trying not to worry about it too much. However I am really struggling with adjusting to two babies so I really appreciate how open you are being with your mental health.. it’s so hard. I remember watching your post natal vids with Hannah whilst I was pregnant with my first and I was able to relate so much. Thank you xxxx

Wouah Dina ! I didnt think this pregnancy affected you this way. While I am lovin' your life in all its aspects, while I am impressed with your relationship and your life and your successes you are at the other side of the world passing through difficult times.. All I want to tell you is that you are a person who does not deserve to be sad, anxious or even depressed, you are my favourite human being, and trust me just the fact that you are DINA TOKIO should make you happy, proud and joyful. You are a great daughter, an oustanding wife, and more than that a magnificent mom. Don't stress ya habibi everything gonna be okay, you are a boss and i trust you, hanna and the baby will be extra proud of their mom and sid aswell... I LOVE YOU

Babe, you are going to be ok. You have a whole lot of cheerleaders behind; you family, friends and your RU-vid family. We all love you. It's ok to feel frustrated and down sometimes; take all the time you need. And if you need a break, take one. Eating disorders are rubbish and can make you really paranoid and turning 30 is blessing; you have different views due to experience but your still the same person. Pregnancy messes with your hormones and it's good that your nesting. Baby is due soon. Do you babe. We are all rooting for you. Love you hun x x

Dearest - You seem like you just need to biggest hug in the world! Stay healthy and and we'll .. remember your mental and spiritual health comes first! Pregnancy/birth depressions are quite normal. Take good care of yourself instead of pressuring yourself too much. Being self employed is super hard, but you are managing it like a queen. Lots of love from Sweden

Hey Dina! I almost never comment on your videos just because of fear that I will sound like everyone else but this time whatever! Jaja I just wanted to say that you are loved, you are strong, you are so funny and you are so considerate. I am only a 17 y/o so I know basically nothing about adulthood and motherhood but I find it so heart warming how you really care so much for Hannah and how you think about how your feelings and actions affect her. It really touched me when you said you wanted to really influence Hannah well and be a “fun mom”. My mom went through a depression last year for some months and almost never came out of her room and I was really thinking about how that affected the whole family and me personally and so it’s just really nice to see you thinking about that with Hannah and the baby on the way. I got a bit emotional too and I have NEVER cried to one of your videos jaja. I hate sounding like a broken record but I just really appreciate you and your “realness” it is really encouraging and how you have shown so much growth (good) in your journey. Even though I am not Muslim, you really have inspired me to be more in touch with my religion and challenge things by researching and coming to my own conclusion . You and Toosy both have actually done this and I appreciate it a lot! I really loved your Creators for Change vídeo actually! (I just rewatched it yesterday) Anyways this is really long and I don’t know where I’m going with all of this exactly but I just love you so much and want you to know that you do deserve time to scream and it is 100% okay! Keep on keeping on and know that you have thousands of people out in this world that are rooting for you! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for being so candid. It sounds like you sense the challenges and changes that will come your way after baby #2, and you’re trying to get a grip or control over it. I think that’s very natural. One thing to try even in small doses is to sit in the chaos or fearful thought and accept it just by acknowledging it. Then literally say “it might be shit, but I know I will make it alright on the other side”. I hope your nesting stress loosens up and wish you a healthy birth.
