Growing up on Lanai back in the 60s and 70s, a lot has changed since then. We even had pronghorn antelope then. The abundance of goats were irradiated by helicopter. There are more deer now than there was then. The overgrown pineapple fields now provide plenty of food and cover. DNR is doing their best, but WE can do more as conservationist. Mahalo! 🤙🏼
Awesome video other than now your making me wish i would have tried harder to make it out a couples weeks ago. But I drew my first lanai Axis deer tag but had things come up making it very difficult to get out there. Hopefully next year
absolutely will do. 2023 was a high expense year for me so flying around wasn't something I could do as much. Hope to get back to more competition in 2024.
A park ranger up on Haleakala was telling us how beautiful the bamboo forest was and then abruptly apologized for calling it beautiful because bamboo is an invasive species. smh. New Zealand is dealing with the same eradication extremist.
