Would anyone tell me what is the meaning of”When you hear the harmony, you don’t change anything ”means? My english is not good,I can’t understand it. Does it mean we should play the phrase with less emotion,so if we play in the correct way we won’t hear harmony?

Very simple, the orchestra adds a ambience. In this intervals promote a sense of movement, being the 5th with E and A and so on, moving up the scale. It encourages the player to become overly emotional and vibrate their heart out.

And yet when you don't dramatize the emotion in competition, judges dock off points. Trust me, the competitor doesn't really want to do that excessive emotion.

@@AlexRiversMusic My comment about outside temperatures does not apply to you. You are very talented, and your intonation is great. I play a 4/4 modern violin, and every time I try playing outside, my pegs loosen. I am very interested in the electrical violin. You are doing great, you are very good at stage working. Lyndsey Sterling was my idol for so long, one of my larger motivations for mastering the instrument. Right now, I mostly do classical solo pieces with a close friend as piano accompaniment. You are definitely inspiring and deserve more recognition. I hope I was not too insulting, I was intending sarcasm. Keep doing what you are doing, cheers from Washington

Your bowings are backwards for the phrasing the second time it comes around. You don't do it in reverse: why do you think that's necessary?. And this is old French school, so you need to slide. From the second finger e to the open A, you slide your second finger back so that it sounds like it's weeping. When the second motif comes, start with a first finger in second position on the F natural on the D string. It sounds too raw and you're missing the extension of the voice and the tone color from not using the D string. It's always a good idea to avoid the open strings if you can vibrate instead because this is a very emotional piece. Have you ever heard that old recording by Isador Cohen ? I had that recording when I was 12 and still to this day, I think that it is the best recording of it, even better than Heifetz. This is very surprising coming from you.
