I know you probably get tired of me saying this but love this project . Love the colors you chose with the circles .You are such a talented artist and a very good teacher . Think this technique on the board book ever one can do and it's quick. Can't wait to see yours finished . 😊

i was in class (on zoom of course) and one person did not have the 91% alcohol....so....i got my nail polish remover...acetone....and...ta dah! it worked wonderfully...problem solving is what we do gerrien.....see you on the table gerrien....
Been desperate to watch this but wanted to save it for a wet Saturday morning. It's just turned Autumn here in the UK. My chores are done & I'm sat with coffee (& Kia, my cat, she loves your voice) I love that rose paint over the blue & green, what a stunning look. 😊❤❤

This book is so totally you, LorriMarie. You've taken inspiration from what you learned in the class you attended and definitely have put your own LM spin on it. I'm so glad you made it work and didn't surrender. Life is for learning and growing. You are a gracious lady, that's all I can say.

Lorri, if you spread that fiber paste in a decent layer on something nonstick, let dry, then peel off you get an awesome piece of 'paper' to use to your delight and alter! I love the feel of this when dry (well, wet too!).

Thank you for sharing. It rang my bell as well! The board book is like the altered books but just a different substrate. I like it!! Your own personal style is what makes it your own. My theme is vintage and I truly enjoyed this October challenge.

well I am totally lost lol finally did my board book and then I come back to see whats up and now we are doing something so different and not the cirque lol i didn't sleep that long . Won’t even asked what happened to the other “book” - had a feeling😉😄 , btw., I like it - but it is an artist’s choice - and one of the valuable lessons as an artist is to know when to “do-over😄” (we never quit!) ; just happened to me too, the other day. New project is finished. And got a time to get a board book🙌 yay! One more project to finish - kind of big one (literally), and ready for the board book - of course it is gonna be a #U2 book (what else…🤣🤷♀️). I work in lots of different books and lots of different “styles” - switching from whimsical semi-realism (you won’t catch me w/ hyper-realism, not my thing, lots of people enjoy it - more power to them🙌), to abstract expressionism/Impressionism within 24 hrs - depends on the mood. Thank you for a wonderful lesson, going to hit the table (not literally). 😄🎨💕🙌🙏

Worked all night - I'm in the course by Kellee Wynne,"The Layered Page" - it's a free course running till Nov 4th. I was behind because of my other projects so was making up lesson number one, "First Layers" (I've posted on Instagram - @gabrielleorlita) / eight paintings 11x15! These are the first layers of whatever we'll be doing with it later. Still two classes to make up -but got to snooze first; and I want to start the board book sooooooo badly - not enough hours in the day and night! In Google-ing... gaffer's tape is used primarily in the arts and entertainment industries. It is a cloth-backed tape that is preferred for it's non-reflective and water resistant properties. It is also able to be removed with no residue left behind. Interesting.
penny trowsdale : “Scotch” makes a no residue duct tape which is a viable alternative to Gaffer's tape. The Scotch tape works, is available in Home Depot, Michaels, most craft stores, and most big hardware stores. I have tried it on painted walls and it works perfectly. Seems to hold a bit better than Gaffer's tape as well. Think of it as a “painters tape” almost...
