My friend had her first child this summer. My gift for the new parents was 2 weeks of cooking - I did freezer breakfasts and I delivered the still hot lunches/dinners to them every day. It was a great help for them and I got to sneakily spend extra baby time! hihi
@@jordanpagecompany hey, I love it here! I watched the gender reveal in between classes last semester. I came for the budget/frugality tips, being a 32 year old college student on a part time military/retail budget, and stayed for the ... everything else. 😂❤💯 Who knows. I might meet someone I click with that actually wants children someday. 🤷🏼♀️ It could happen.
When I was in labor with my twins I cleaned the house and took a shower. My husband just paced behind me and panicked at every contraction 8 hours later they were here and the house was super clean lol.
Yes please!! I’m 25 weeks with baby #5, but I’ve botched the bags each time. I always have too much of something and then don’t pack something essential. Like a going home outfit for baby. 🙈
When we added baby #5, we definitely set things up in the van a couple months ahead. It helped get our kids ready and used to their new place in the van.
Unsolicited twin mom advice: 1. Wake them and feed them together 2. Boppys are going to be the best for bottle feeding them both at the same time when you’re alone, you can put one in front of you and one to the side, on the sides of you on a couch, etc. 3. You’re a seasoned mom already, but 6-8 weeks was the hardest and most fussy time. 4. Sorry to burst your bubble, everyone says, “It gets easier,” I have 17 mos old boys; No it does not get easier. But you will have some help from your other littles! 💕 5. Enjoy them while they’re still not mobile- it’s the best ever! Lol my boys cribs are under the stairs- I call it their Harry Potter room. Love watching you and your family. Praying for a safe delivery and quick and easy recovery for you! ❤️
Janelle Acey i definitely agree with #1, when I brought my twins home I kept the schedule they had from the NICU which was 30mins apart but I lost so much sleep but I started feeding them at the same time (I do bottle feed) and it’s so much easier, they’re already 4mos now.
Yes!! I always had my twins on the same sleep & eatting schedule. The first few months were hard when it came to sleep & my recouperating but the easiest in that they only ate & slept a lot. Thankfully my mom stayed with us for 6 months and helped. Things certainly didn’t get easier until my twins were almost 3. Even as toddlers it’s so hard because someone always needs something! My twins are 8 now and I miss the non-mobile days! 🤣
I definitely overbought stuff for my first baby! My advice is don’t buy the stuff until you find out you really need it! Babies just don’t need that much stuff.
Double twin mom here! 5 year olds and 1.5 year olds! When it comes to the photography and videography, most OB's will deliver twins in an operating room (to be ready in case of emergency with you or one of the babies). Typically it's just you and dad in there since there's lots of nurses and Drs, double the pediatric team for double the babies! If you have questions I'm happy to help!
You're an incredible mama. Another set of twins is my biggest fear and that's why we opted out of a third child 😅 Happy and fully occupied with our boy girl twins.
Hi Jordan I have 6 year old twins and recently found out I'm expecting my second set ! However I was now told may just be a blighted ovum but I'm not taking that only God has the last say ! Hopeful for good news in two weeks , best of wishes for your delivery 💜
Love the zone.comment. Before my first kid, I never thought of that and no one mentions it. We had a place in the living room, bedroom and the bathroom. You need places where you can set them down! We called them "Docking Stations"
As a new 21 year old, I don’t think I’ll have my own family for at least another ten years but anything can happen... Anyways, this is seriously one of few of the channels I’ll watch learning so much about kids, fam life, and the amazing tips on how to save money and organize! I crave and get so excited for every video!!
I'm a 21 year old college student and I have been watching for a long time now. Thanks for all the helpful advice you give, it really prepares me for the future. I'm so excited and ready for the twins to be here!
Optometric tech here! Actually please don’t go to the optometrist when you’re pregnant (obviously unless you break your glasses). Your prescription changes so much during pregnancy during and after because of hormones that there is no point! Much love!
I had to go get glasses replaced after giving birth because I forgot that I had them on during delivery (metal frames) and they were all bend out of shape from sleeping with them on. I am not sure what else happened because - delivery but they needed to be replaced. :-)
The best piece of advice I got before my first was born was never correct my husband while he has the baby. Holding the baby, changing the baby or giving them a bath differently than Mom would is not permanently damaging and perfectly fine. What is damaging is an insecure dad with a broken spirit and a broken bond between baby and dad. There have been soooo many times throughout the years with our three babies that I had to bite my tongue remembering what that wise woman told me, but I am so glad I did!!!
Lightning Gazelle that is such great advice! Thank you so much! I probably will have a hard time with that because I am such a control freak when it comes to home management but I will work my tail off to let things go and encourage him!!!
I was a single parent with twins making $8/hr 16 years ago. I cannot begin to tell you of the challenges of deciding to move the babies in the apartment building (one car seat carrier in each arm) and hope they stayed put while I ran out of the apartment building, across the parking lot to my car to make multiple trips with the groceries, OR to do the opposite. I usually chose the former. You've got a small clan - I'm sure you got this! Love your "meal planning backkwards" videos. They have helped me so much (now that I can breathe 16 years later to focus on my budgeting and feeding two teenage eating machines). Good luck and thank you for your content!
I've had 3 babies and 2 of my 3 deliveries I needed someone else to go to my house and grab my bag for me. I was so glad I had it ready to go and they didn't have to pack it for me.
I will suggest u ask friends or family to help out.. It makes a huuuge difference.. we had to move houses in my final month of pregnancy and I needed loads of help and that was the ‘gift’ we asked out friends. It made a difference and we all went out for dinner later.. good luck with everything, Eileen!!
Maybe ask family or friends..... you could feed and water them as “payment” if you feed them they will come lol 😂 Good luck with time rest of your pregnancy 🤰
I never had children but am watching this because you are an Organizational Rock Star. I take care of two disabled adult family members (and a dog) but can still pick up ideas even from a prepping for a baby video from you. Looking forward to seeing your two additional blessings soon!
I am 12 weeks pregnant with baby number five 🤰 This time, however, I have been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum and it's awful 😔 I have started binge watching your videos and adore your channel 🥰 So happy and excited for your two new additions ❤❤
Can’t wait for these bundle of joys to come. Congrats to your family. ❤️❤️❤️ I’m gonna be 34 this year unmarried no kids so I live through others who have families. Babies are a blessing...
Ok JORDAN, your GLOW is beautiful, and we are on ready with you. Prayers for very happy, and healthy little ones. Peace and comfort for you . GOD BLESS YOUR PRECIOUS FAMILY. 😊💙💖
I'm going to be praying for everything to go smoothly and you, your beautiful family, and your new bundles of Joyfulness stay healthy. You are such a wonderful person that's probably why you been blessed with so many children.
Yes! I didn't French braid but I have a comfy top knot type of hairdo that I did before heading to the hospital & it stayed through labor, emergency c-section, & recovery room. Very important! 😁
💯 I took a shower & braided my hair before going into the hospital. My nurses were so thankful they didn’t have to deal with all my hair & trying to put it in a cap. For me it made things easier because later that day I took it down and my hair still looked cute.
As someone who hopes to have kids someday, I LOVE THIS VIDEO. Totally taking notes lol, I can’t wait for the twins to arrive! Praying for a good delivery and that y’all are all healthy!!
I’m glad you have help lined up! Sleeping is the hardest struggle with twins! Having a sitter to watch your crew so you can take naps is crucial! My husband and I thought we were going to be zombies forever with our twin boys... but it eventually gets better!!! Be prepared for issues like reflux and difficult eaters if your twins are premature. Good luck- prayers for you all!
My bag was ready but my water broke 3 weeks early and my husband left it at home. He cleaned the house and did all the " momming" while I was in the hospital.
Twin mama here......mine are b/g and are 2.5 now and I'm pregnant with my fourth. You look amazing! I pray those babes keep on cooking and you have a flawless labor and delivery!
I always wanted twins for the specific reasons that when you’re in public and people ask if they’re twins I can say “no, they’re triplets, we just leave the ugly one at home.” 😂😂😂 Good Luck Mama! And congrats! 💕
Mariah Owens Walking with my husband and our stroller, two newborns, got asked the same question...told the lady one was ours and the other one was of my husband and his other wife.... 🙈
I love this! Why do people always ask that question? Especially with nb i got that ALL THE TIME! Still get it and my babies are identical twins its like "no they are identical strangers" lol
I have boy/girl twins and lost count how many times I was asked if they were identical 🙄 Had no idea so many people don't know what it means to be identical!
I’m 37 weeks prego with my 3rd baby and my youngest is 8! So I’m literally starting all over!😩❤️❤️❤️😳 I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a “what’s in your hospital bag” video PLEASSEEE !!!❤️❤️❤️ I just love your Chanel and have been following your pregnancy throughout my own as well!!! All of your videos are soo helpful!!! Good luck with your twins delivery!! I’ll be watching for the big day!😊❤️😘
Omgosh yes pay your bills before! Not a big deal but my husband and I forgot to pay my car payment when our first baby arrived 2 weeks early 😂. Safe to say we were a lot more prepared when baby #2 came along!Good luck Jordan! 💙💗
Hospital bag video... yes please! I follow you and love your videos... and I’m pregnant too so I’ve been waiting for that video from you... I’ve seen many but again I love your videos! Thank you! And many blessing for you and family including the twins!
I just saw your last baby update on Instagram and wanted to share something I learned with my third pregnancy. It was my first pregnancy using a doula team and they told me about prodromal labor. Here is some info they sent me “What is prodromal labor? Prodromal labor is usually defined as a labor that starts and stops, sometimes for days on end. Prodromal labor feels like real labor, it acts like real labor and in many ways it is real labor. Sadly, it eventually stops and doesn’t result in a baby like active labor does.” Once I knew this is what my body does before each baby comes made me mentally feel better and less disappointed when contractions would just abruptly stop at night. I just wanted to share this with you in case it would be helpful. Praying for a safe delivery for you and the babies 💗
Blues Clues! And I can't wait to hear when you have your beautiful little ones! I'm due on the 12th of March with our #4. So it's exciting to have someone else on baby watch 2020 at the same time! Prayers that you all will be safe!
Yes! Please do hospital bags video(s)! I have had four kids and still find it so interesting what other women bring to the hospital with them! Plus, would be so different preparing for twins!
I love your videos and we are so excited for your family to bring home twins. I am an identical twin and I can tell you their bond will be out of this world! My sister and I are both married with our own families now, but we talk on the phone at least 5 times a day and see each other weekly. It will be beautiful to watch. Good luck and we will be praying for a smooth delivery for momma and babies....and bubba!! :)
My husband and I want to try starting a family next year. I may not be pregnant now but I love all your videos and will watch anything you post :) can’t wait for the babies to get here 💕🙏🏻
Jordan, you are so funny. I am a mother of twins and it is definitely a journey. Eight years later when I had a single birth, I kept thinking I had so much free time. Then, I realized ohhh, that’s what it’s like to have one baby. You’re lucky to have help. Good luck to you.
Would love to see a detailed diaper bag/hospital bag video in the future. I have an 11 year old & 1 1/2 year old girls & I'd LOVE to have more, God willing. I have PCOS & both my babies were miracle babies! Even though I may never have more, but I enjoy watching you get excited about these twins, adding to your family & seeing you manage your family like a #boss. I can only hope that once day I can be able to have a smooth running house like yours! I've tried productivity bootcamp & it was great, I just need to put the advice to fruition. Thank you for being such a great role model!
Thank you so much for all your videos, and your blog. I am set to have twins and my little guy will be 18 months when they show up. You are great to watch, and the content is fabulous. Much love and big thanks from Canada!!
Our hospital doesn’t do car seat checks... which was kind of a shock when we had our 1st baby. Hospital bag video would wonderful! Almost 31 weeks and baby’s room is 90% done, YAY! Now I can focus on other things in the house! Also 100000000% agree on the involvement of older children. My child helped paint baby’s room a bit, and do lots of other things over the last couple of months. Even picked out some sleepers and stuffed toy to give baby!
Yes! Please do a “what in my hospital bags” video and what bags are you using for the hospital. I just ended up using a large roller suitcase that can stand up and roll and so we only had one bag that fit EVERYTHING and still had some room for stocking up from the hospital! Definitely more convenient for going to and from the hospital
Great tips! I’m not a twin mom, but I highly recommend packing your hospital bag(s) A MONTH in advance. I had severe preeclampsia and my son came early. I didn’t have a bag ready and it was a hot mess. Thankfully we were stationed in my hometown so my mom was a big help packing what she thought we needed while my husband was with me at the hospital.
Jordan Page, FunCheapOrFree I always watch your videos but this one 😂 not relevant for me , still supper excited for you guys and the twins thanks for all the advice
I wish it was here! I have insurance and even with insurance when I have a baby it’s going to cost me at the lowest $7,000 and that’s after insurance has covered their portion. I don’t know how I’m going to pay that & afford a newborn and daycare. I have a 12 year old and was a single mom then so I did receive assistance but now I’m 31 & my husband and I have great jobs and still can’t afford to have a baby yet.
Same for Canada, all healthcare is free. No matter who you are or where you live, it's all covered. This is the easy it should be worldwide imho. Some Mennonite/Amish do not want any government assistance, so they forego the coverage, opting to pay cash, they are billed differently than others, it's something to do with their beliefs????
Been hanging out on Instagram every couple hours to see if there are baby updates! Good luck Jordan! Hopefully you have an easy and safe delivery of the twins! Living vicariously through you!!! I’ve always wanted twins 👯♀️
I'm pregnant with my 3rd daughter (around 24 weeks) and it is always a very exciting and wonderful experience! A little bit nervous is always expected But you all will have it, just make sure God is there and everything will work out wonderfully😊 good luck and hope the kiddies are all ready to Love 2 little bundles not just 1 this time 😁
My little one is almost 12 weeks but I clicked because I was so excited (and validated!) to see you have invested in the SNOO as well!! 😂 We’ve loved it! Best wishes for a healthy Mama and babies!
Great advice, why weren't you around 25 years ago, when I was pregnant 😜 All the best with the upcoming birth of your babies. Greetings from South Africa
Best of luck yourself, Bubba and the rest of the family! Praying for a safe and healthy delivery! Being a twin myself I know how much fun being a twin is! Can't wait to see the cuties!! 💜💕💜💕
I'm soooo excited for you all!! I'm a Gamma now yet I can still feel the excitement, anticipation, joy and love... oh and I'm so tired for you already!! :) God Bless and enjoy every single moment! Babies grow up so fast!! xoxo
Jordan Page, FunCheapOrFree my mom had twins in October of 2018 and they are the highlight of our life! Sadly the eldest twin, Brock, passed away last August and it’s been very hard to get passed it but our little Vivian (the youngest twin) is the most adorable and happiest little being in our entire family.
