I'm mom to 8 adorable and busy kiddos, nacho enthusiast, Utah transplant (and biggest fan!), and your new budgeting, productivity, and frugal cooking bestie! Truth be told, I suck at budgeting. I started The Page Company with a goal to build stronger families, by helping you tackle your overwhelm...even amidst the chaos 😜! Beautifully spoken children! Loved this video. Absolutely loved the children’s insite. Amazing amazing job raising these kids Jordan and Bub. I would love another kids tell all.
THIS! Jordan, my kids watch your kids on Ninja Kids and they were so excited to see kids they knew on one of the YTer's I watch. They sat through and soaked in the entire thing - at the end said "I LOVED it!". It was nice for them to hear things I say to them come out of other kids mouths that they look up to. There is such a cook opportunity here. I say - MORE COLLABS WITH YOUR KIDS!
My parents did not teach us anything about money., bills, taxes, or saving. Now, as an adult, have money issues. My parents would often 'scold' me about how I spent my money (in my 20's and 30's) and thinking back now, I'm like, I was never told how to save or spend! I've learned a lot, but your kids already know way more than I do. Parents!! Listen up and teach your kids these skills!!
Well it’s like them mowing the lawn, they’re helping their mom to make money to support all of them. Kids shouldn’t be paid for everything they do to help support their own family.
I love this video! And I’m so excited to teach my kid how to adult when he’s older ❤ but also just wanted to shout out that I was one of those kids that was really sheltered & then thrown into the deep end when an adult. I only didn’t struggle because I hated handouts & I loved earning money. In contrast I’m sure there are people who were never sheltered but also just didn’t have drive. So they’re still kids in adult bodies today. Drive, grit & mentality is so important.
The Video you made with your kids I hope my Kids understand the Value of it Because My Kids think I'm just obsessed with you without any Reason and you is a One of the Best Teacher who Taught how to tackle with Life issues where you Don't find them Issues you Find them as Tasks and Have Better Lifestyle and Knowledge of Living in a World of Too many Tsks to deal with while you have so many Dreams and Standards to live up to
These are amazing kids! I'm not a mother and I don't plan to be, but I worked as a teacher for more than 10 years and I always admired the way you raise your kids. They are adorable, they have great values in life, and they are getting ready to live on their own! ❤ Love Beck's and Priya's insights! ❤
What my mom, now almost 79 years old, always told me (she is a retired maritime clerk + customs declarer) is that you need to actually master *every trade* and profession on at least a basic level, so people 1/ can't fool you 2/ you can do a lot yourself. You actually have to depend on, from dentists, to plumbers, and "hope" these people are honest, Godfearing, and don't take you for a ride. Later in life, much much later in life, after having learned, probably, some hard lessons, then yes, you won't be fooled twice, ever again but by then it's too late. Like say my mom, she lost her teeth early (40s, 50s). Now over age 70, we know that just a couple implants would have been enough to "stimulate the bone" and keep the jaw from deteriorating. Literally when there is 0 root stimulating the bone, your bone mass just up and eats itself away after a while, causing a "domino effect" on other teeth, as well as keeping it harder and harder to hold even your basic full dentures in place. No-body told us or my mom that. Not even the dentist. Now we learn all sorts of things from being subbed on YT to dentists, doctors, car mechanics, plumbers, all types of professions (which is a cool tip as well and neat to do). We now know things we never even considered. So yes, basic skills in all professions, however you can get that knowledge: priceless, and that would be my tip, for the day. ;)👍
I loved this, great idea to let the kids talk about it! I just had a feeling throughout that the kids would have shared more brilliant thoughts if you'd let them think about it for longer, Jordan. Priya looked on the verge of saying something multiple times after her initial turn, but she didn't get in the word without interupting you. And so she gave up a couple of times. They had their wheels spinning while the conversation was going on and it was cool, but it was very rushed. Coming up with a profound answer on the spot is tough, giving them more time and space to think their sentences through could bring us more insight into their thinking process and not just reiteration of what they've learned from you. The pauses can always be edited out anyway. Just an idea for the future, maybe?
You and your kids are fantastic and they need skills ready to help with their independence and able to look after themselves as we as parents won't be around forever which many find a bit morbid but I want my son to manage his money, do chores and work things out for themselves xxx
Thank you Jordan for sharing your beautiful children and their intake I admire their confidence in themselves and how they express their experiences of why knowing how to be capable is imperative for them and should be considered for parents to understand we are they’re helpers during the learning curve of being capable. Such a great testimony of raising great kids. May God bless and protect them.
jordan, you have done an amazing job raising your kids! watching this video, i’m amazed at how mature they are at such young ages. i am beyond impressed!❤️❤️
Thinking of debt as overspending what you have is a perfect definition. Most people think of it as "money" and they'll just pay it off later, which leads to a terrible trap.
Im dying to do lemonade stands with my kids. Have a couple questions though Do I have to have any food permit or city permit? Can I put one anywhere or is there any restrictions?
I was literally going to ask for them to give tips directly to the kids so they can hear it from other kids. I’m so glad it came up! They answered it so beautifully ❤
