Sounds cliché… but go to Road Napoleon & Monaco 🇲🇨… then on return to GB, go via the Alps… Stelvio, Gothard… or other Mountain Pass… here’s my “5 cents”.
Steering wheel upgrade? (Macan/Panamera-wheel?) This is a very tricky thing to upgrade. Not much info in Internet and forums. I would love to upgrade my 987.1 S steering wheel but still looking for proper info of what fits from newer Porsches. Just get a steering wheel cover looks too tacky and "wannabe"-poor.
Porsche says always use the same tires front and rear… You’ll likely wear out the next set of rears the same time as the fronts wear out - so try a new brand then. But the Michelins you have are hard to beat!
I'd like you to compare between your Auto and the PDK and Manual versions. 987.2 anyone? Mods... the factory option list. Paint Protection wrap 🐦🐩 testing.
If you can stretch to it, ps 5s are literally amazing on a rwd…..in all weathers….if anything can be better than the ps 4s….its the 5s. Personally though…..it would trigger me having different tyres on the front and back 🫣🤭
Fantastic Joe. Really looking forward to the future vids. Mine is now getting towards new rubber and I am thinking of a full Geo. I’ve not had it done in the 4 years I’ve owned it. I haven’t taken mine to the ring, but have taken my old Subarus and focus RS back in the day. Tempting to take the 981.
I have an 07 cayman 3.4s and id love to know if you or can provide an exhaustive list of things i should so to ensure that the car is yhe best version of itself it can be
Good to see you back Joe. Strongly recommend you put the same Michelin tyres on the back as are on the front. Otherwise you run the risk of de-stabilising the car.
Good video. Personally I would like to see a real detailed video on the comparison between your car with auto vs manual . The general feeling is manual is better ? Let’s see the strengths of both maintenance performance and mpg .👍
Love the channel! I love your idea of oem plus and not going mod crazy. My suggestion is to get a proper floppy paddle steering wheel for the track. The button steering wheel is a let down for the decent early manumatic.
@@JoeTalksCars That is a challenge. I have seen one video where someone adapted Mercedes AMG paddle shifters to the Cayman steering wheel, but that seemed a little janky. The nicest project I have seen was swapping the existing steering wheel for a Macan steering wheel. From the video I saw, it was very much plug and play. Not cheap though. Macan wheels with airbags can be found on eBay from time to time. The newer steering wheel looks great in the 987.1 interior. It's on my list of light mods for Cayman.
I’ll be honest and having reviewed the back catalogue of videos this video sounds different but essentially the same as the others. What you’re going to do, what comes next, what we would like. Less “Joe talks cars” and more “Joe talks about talking about cars”. The future content sounds interesting but maybe make it and release it rather than a ten minute teaser punctuated by long pulls to highlight your love of the TG exhaust. With so much content choice on YT as a subscriber I want to see something like what you’re describing is coming next. Not this. Sorry Joe just my gut feeling.
Thanks for the feedback tho:) the content will start to improve:) just needed a video out to show what I’m planning rather than it looking like I’d given up. Had a long ish break. Anyway another video filmed today for Sunday and it’s better 🤣
