With the barreled action fitting snugly in the stock, I complete some necessary steps that need to be done before I start shaping the buttstock. I trim the end and remove excess material from the top, bottom and sides. The metal parts are fit, the buttplate, rear sling swivel and trigger guard. It is important to fit these while the stock is still squared up and it's center line is known in order to position them accurately. In the next video I will shape the buttstock to closely match the original stock.
