@@trey437 We were all United. Regardless of political ideologies. He attempted to be bipartisan, uniting the two parties, (I guess). Foreign relations with our allies were much stronger. We weren't alienated from our closest allies. We had a much more transparent president. Someone who connected with the people.
That was very well done. He addressed the best ways to get us out of Bush Era debt, and to revivify our economy in the long run. If Obama is able to take the actions he has proposed, without undue hindrances, we wlll be living in a better USA.

Interesting to see how a majority of Congress applauds & stand up for many of Obama's proposals during those tough years. Interesting to compare to Trump's 2018 address, where he sometimes claps for himself & where 99% of the time only Republicans stand up & applaud his proposals. Also interesting to see how Trump talks brought people who face hardships to his State of the Union Address. These are just observations folks, no need to accuse me of being for one side or the other.

What a remarkable speaker! I have great hope for the next two years. I sincerely pray that we have the capacity to pull together for the good of our Nation and it's future. Fear leads to hostility, to violence, to anarchy. Surely we can do better than that. If we value the great work done by the many that came before us in the building of this nation's schools, hospitals, libraries, museums and national parks we can learn to value one another again.

He brought good facts and good ideas for improving the economy. I liked it. A four tier plan for restructuring and improving our financial system, all of which based on sound reasoning. A dedication to legislative transparency and a willingness to say it straight. That's just good quality leadership.

You got fined for NOT having health insurance! To pay for people that don't work enough to have health insurance. To get a government health insurance that was trash. It covered nothing! EC I tried to explain to someone that the division of our country didnt happen over night. People dont understand. We are heading back towards a united country; it's going to take a long time. Some people can't see it. The SOTU 2018 was so inclusive and inspiring! Showing real Americans & telling their stories! It's a motivation to take responsibility for ourselves & our country.
