Preserved former Southend Transport 713, Leyland National LPB 218P, departs from St Albans City Station during the St Albans Bus Running Day on the 11th January 2009. Ethel has awarded this 4 Stars out of 5 for thrash.
Very old bus 🚎 made in 1975 or 1976. Over 30 years old at the time. Now in 2023 is aged 47 years old. Of course Leyland National buses 🚍 could be around in 2030 in 7 years time. 🙂
Were there any Nationals outside London in the UK that had a centre door apart from Northern General? Very very backward thinking to run a bus such as this with a single door. Europeans are advanced. They use three door buses everywhere.
@@ethelsshakytrainvideos I bet most of those were ex London Transport that had cascaded to various subsequent owners. I have viewed four hours of late 80s and 1990s clips of Nationals all over the UK and I can count on one hand the amount of two door Nationals I saw and they were all 10.3m short examples. The sight of any two door ended up striking my eyes as odd.
